This past week has been insane in all of the best ways! We hosted both of our parents & threw our first crawfish boil! Turns out—it’s much more difficult to host a house party when you don’t have any of your things moved in and you’ve only spent a couple of days there. (Also, if I haven’t texted you back in a week, I’m sorry and I’m going to get caught up tomorrow 😵‍💫)

Another highlight of this past week was re-landscaping our new backyard. We made 6 trips to the nursery with cars completely full of plants. I’ve been so, so busy lately and spending way too much time in my head, so to get my hands in soil and potting new flowers all around this place was extremely grounding. It also feels symbolic of a beautiful new era that is taking shape 🤍🌸

Happy birthday to my wonderfully wacky lover, manager, boss, agent, roommate, audio engineer, bestie, graphic designer, boyfriend, wearer of all personalities…Nicky T!!!

Here are my favorite photos of us from the last 12 months! For Nick, this last rotation around the sun has been one dedicated to work. No one, and I mean NO ONE works as hard as this guy.

I’m going to brag about him for a moment: The world sees a radiant bubble of energy, what they don’t see is that this guy wakes up at 4am every morning, designs the majority of the artwork for both clubs, designed & built Arora with his bare-ass hands, booking talent, and producing consistent offsite events. And for those that say we are out of town all of the time 1) usually for music festivals, where he is in discovery mode and we are usually catching 15 minutes of each set as he is vetting all of the talent or 2) (like right now) he is putting in 10 hour days from a beach chair…but still clocking in more hours than most people on a daily basis. He celebrated 10 years as the sole owner of Republic last month, and has consistently had his finger on the pulse of the up-and-coming talent. I don’t think that there are many other music venue owner that have sustained the same passion that this guy has had for *literally* decades. He truly, truly cares about the experiences he’s creating, and giving a diverse variety of artists a place to find and build an audience.

And he shows NO signs of slowing.

I love & admire you beyond words, and can’t imagine how dull life would be without you 😜

🏐 VOLLEYBOO: Jump, Set, Spook! 👻
So proud of that name + tagline for the Halloween Volleyball Glow Tournament at Pearl Beach in Tulsa over Halloween weekend 2020! Had an absolute blast playing as a 80s ski instructor (I even found some neon skis!) and then spanking everyone at the go cart track the next day!

☀️🔥 SUNBURN! 🔥☀️
2 days of paddle boarding + 1 looong day of kickball = a whole lotta sunburn! But, what a weekend it was from paddle boarding in De Sota and almost being swept into the gulf to 12 hours of kickball in Serasota with Blackout for a 2nd place finish! Plus, I got to hang with recent St Pete transplants, @ianrose + Kelly, got a souvenir bar rag when a flash storm drenched this rooftop bar, and so much more! by @nola_nick
