Y'all 🥹
Friday night was so special! We spent months planning and weeks dance practicing for performances. We had a great turn out, the show was awesome, and my team surprised me with not 1 but 2 Proclamations from the City of New Orleans/Helena Moreno. One recognizing Ritmeaux Day as June 26 and the other for all the work I do in the community. The crown, sash, flowers, and a letter of love and gratitude were the cherries on top. I cried such happy tears. If anyone knows me- yall know Ive been thru a lot so truly, this was so meaningful 🥹🥰
Im forever grateful to the people who trust and believe in me! I do it for the love of community & culture 🥰😍💗 taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @nolafleaux

In October 2022, I started my journey as an on air personality/radio show host! Being on FM radio is a huge platform that I don't take for granted! To give thanks- I play a lot of local artists and musicians and have them come in for interviews 🙏🏽 Always talking about all things Community & Culture! Check me out on Sundays, 12-2p Central Time! 1st hour is for old school and new school r&b, afrobeats, reggae, neosoul. 2nd hour is for spicy salsa sabor!

3rd time at my alma mater for Hispanic Heritage Month. This time I brought my new drum and basket full of puerto rican instruments. Sharing my heritage, history, culture, & traditions in my old high school gym is beyond words. Full circle. Following my heart. Living out mine & my ancestors' wildest dreams! So proud of myself & how far Ive come. This year marks 15 years of entrepreneurship as woman of color in the deep Louisiana South. 🖤🤍

Its my favorite time of year and of course this Honduran & Puerto Rican was born on Sept 15- the kick off of Hispanic Heritage Month. It means the world to me to share my culture with my community & city. taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @nolafleaux
