The sport of drill team is in my heart, mind, body, and soul and coaching this team is an absolute dream. How lucky am I?! I get to do what I love at my Alma Mater, and I get to do it alongside the best girls, families, fellow coaches, and community.

Being the ONLY male head drill coach in the state has been quite intimidating, because the sport is led and coached by the most incredible women. But I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. I cannot wait to debut our competition routines because dang they are good 😏

This is just the beginning. I love these Chaparrals with my entire heart.

Tonight was our first annual employee awards and receiving my 5-year plaque really made it all sink in. Nearly six years ago, I never would've imagined I'd be where I am now. I am incredibly grateful for my job, the hard days, the good days, all of the opportunities I've received, and the people. My co-workers, the students, and families are AMAZING. I have built lifelong relationships that I hold near and dear to my heart. I truly couldn't do this work without them.

I'm beyond thankful for my boss, Iris, who has helped me grow into who I am today, for allowing me the flexibility to simultaneously juggle all things dance and drill, and for teaching me everything I need to know. My work bestie, Jamie, has grown to be like a sister to me. Through all of the ups and downs, we have both grown so closely to one another. I'm grateful work brought us together! I also couldn't do it without my day-one, KP, who has been my ride or die since the very beginning.

We have the absolute best team. These past five years have been nothing short of amazing, and there's plenty more to come ❤️ by @nolan622

~Summer 2026~

This summer has been filled with dance, dance, and more dance. From choreographing for a wedding with @100roses, LOTS of drill practices and choreo with my favorite team @cwooddrillteam, teaching classes and choreographing solos/duos for @danceologystudio, dancing with @underground.dco, having a tree fall on my car, many busy yet rewarding days at work, and so much more.

I'm incredibly grateful for the work I get to do each day and having the opportunity to be a part of Utah's dance and drill team communities. Summer, you have flown by WAY to quickly, but I'm excited for football games, studio classes, UG and Collective rehearsals, and continuing to work alongside the people I love ❤️ by @nolan622

~Poetry In Motion~

UG 14 and my fifth year on the company. This past year was one of my favorites and our show was personal, heartfelt, and absolutely magical. We all united together and I will never forget the energy both on the stage and from the audience.

Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the season. Your support, generosity, love, and encouragement means the absolute world. Thank you to all of the choreographers who put your hearts, minds, bodies, and sould into your pieces. I'm grateful for @ms_smiles5 @the_charl @alliea123 @paitonkoa @nadiaganom @_sierra_holmes @_haimay @chase_wise8 @eldoson @slc.punks @fuiavss @msouvall210 @cordova_nova who's pieces I got to be a part of and learn from, and there's so many others that I loved watching; every piece in our show was beautiful!

28 trips around the sun ☀️

Thank you for all of the texts, messages, phone calls, cards, decorations, and photos. I am filled with immense gratitude for all of the birthday wishes. The love and support truly means the absolute world to me.

This past year was filled with growth and new opportunities. This upcoming year, I hope to continue surrounding myself with everyone I love, express more gratitude, find more moments of stillness, and always strive to be the best version of myself for my dancers.

~ Danceology 2025-2026 ~

Wow, what a year it has been, and I can't believe it's already over! My second year @danceologystudio was such an incredible year with my students. Seeing their hard work pay off over the course of the year solidifies why I do what I do. They never cease to amaze me and make me proud!

Being the Acro and Tumbling Director this year has been such an honor, and I've loved working with all of the teachers this year; we have such an incredible team! As I transition out of this role for this upcoming season to shift my focus onto work and drill, my heart is filled with immense joy and gratitude. The growth in this program has felt so surreal and I'm extremely grateful for Tracy, who has been incredibly supportive, loving, and she dedicates her everything to all of us.

Each year gets better and better, and I cannot wait to see what next year has in store! 💙🤟 by @nolan622

Thank you Westlake for the most magical two years. Thank you for being my "home" and for allowing me to do what I love with the most amazing girls, families, and community. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world and I will miss this program dearly.

Coaching with Autumn, Courtney, and Kamryn these past two years has been inspiring to say the least. I am so proud of the program we've built, and I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of this legacy.

~ Jr. Luxelles 25-26 ~

Last night was our end of year showcase for both @westlakedrillteam and @westlake_jr.luxelles - what an incredible season it has been for both programs!

I knew our Jr. Luxelles would be a force to be reckoned with when we held our auditions in May, and boy was I right. From our first practice together in August through now, they've left it all on the floor. Every practice, every performance, and our first ever competition, they've given 110% effort. They have been resilient, open-minded, and determined; all traits and qualities that I hope they will hold closely as they navigate life. These girls also have the most amazing and supportive parents and families. They too have sacrificed so much to help our visions and dreams for this team come to life; thank you!

Coaching alongside @autumn.j.walker and @kamrynorgill has been the biggest blessing. Autumn, thank you for all that you sacrifice for our program. Your work behind the scenes does not go unnoticed, and I'm grateful to have helped bring your vision to life. Kamryn, thank you for joining us this year and being willing to jump right in. Your eye for technique, military, and cleanliness was exactly what we needed. Coaching alongside the both of you has been an absolute dream 💙

Lastly, thank you @lexijolabrum for believing in me and rooting for me every step of the way. The support and guidance from you and varsity means the absolute world.

Jr. Luxelles Contemporary 2025-2026

Costume: Weissman - stoning help by moms, dancers, us coaches, and the incredible, @dancerandylynn.

When we found out that we have the opportunity to compete, all of us coaches knew that we had to. We announced it to the team early November and EVERYONE was on board without a doubt. Us coaches got together over winter break to choreograph, and we began choreography in January. Over the past four weeks, these girls learned all the choreo, worked on the tricks, spaced (and re-spaced), and cleaned. We finished the routine last week and had all of this week to finalize the cleaning... yeah we're crazy. @lexijolabrum has been a huge help to us and we appreciate all of her guidance and support throughout the process.

Everything paid off 10-fold. We have the MOST DETERMINED girls. Their pep talks to each other, dedication to the team outside of practice, and their willingness and openness to try everything we threw at them means the world. They are an absolute dream to coach and I'm so honored and grateful to have witnessed their growth this season.

I cannot wait to see them take the floor one last time as a team at the end of year showcase on Feb. 26th. Until then, enjoy "The Storm" ⚡️

The best Valentine's Day morning with the best team. I couldn't ask for a better competition with these girls. Taking home 1st place at our first ever JV Drill competition is incredible. I am so proud of the girls and the way they left their hearts on the floor - they were incredible!

Some of my favorite moments:
•The way the girls cheered when our bus arrived (we had a whole bus fiasco this morning but thankfully it all worked out)
•Warming up tricks and watching the girls hit things consistently in the practice gym
•All of the pup talks and positive vibes
•The way they all cheered for each other as we ran the routine in groups
•Seeing all of their hard work come to fruition. They wanted this SO badly and worked every second for it

A huge thank you to our incredible parents. Thank you for helping us with the costumes, for being willing to pick up the girls when we were unsure of if we'd have a bus, and for all of your time and trusting us coaches with your daughters.

Coaching with @autumn.j.walker @kamrynorgill is an absolute dream. Thank you @lexijolabrum for all of your advice and support and thank you @dancerandylynn for your vision with the rhinestones. WE DID IT! 💙⚡️💪 by @nolan622
