- NDS3 (Quads Edition) -
my third take at a lick with some non-dyadic time signatures, now on quads of course. i wanted to try my hand at some time signatures in the pulse of a 7:5 tuplet, and that's all of that 13/11.2 stuff you're seeing. hope y'all enjoy this one cuz i poured a hell of a lot into this one, as well as WAY too long recording because yet again i wrote the rounds too hard 😭🔥

- polyriddim -
Easily my proudest and highest quality video yet, this video took nearly 12 hours of work, not including the hours of writing and practice to get the lick itself down. Shoutouts to @phonon_music for the crazy track, @shawncrowder for the original transcription video, @thebandit_67 for giving me this idea, and @mileskenobbie for giving me a lot of inspiration for the video itself.
Hope y’all enjoy my cover of polyriddim! 😁 by @nolanmurdock

“Of Two Minds” – Liberty 2026 Part 2
Tenor part performed by @nolanmurdock

This summer, I commissioned a few players to record the snare and tenor parts to my HS arrangements. The goal was for each video to serve as a learning tool for the students, and as a means of communicating expressive intent outside of the sheet music. Also, they’re just fun to watch!

these duo licks are always the bomb. so much fun to write and spend a lot of time on, a beast to record, and a fulfilling project to edit for hours on a day im feeling a lil yucky.
