❤️ H.E.R.(@hermusicofficial) , Liza Soberano (@lizasoberano), Dave Franco, Lea Salonga (@msleasalonga), Jenny Slate (@jennyslate), Manny Jacinto (@mannyjacinto), Dolly de Leon (@dollyedeleon), Jo Koy (@jokoy) and Ronny Chieng (@ronnychieng), who steals the show, bring personality to #ForgottenIslandMovie, an animated adventure celebrating Filipino culture, mythology and folklore.

The animation is dazzling but often dizzying, and the style feels wrong for the material. A little more calm would have helped the mythology breathe. More bravado in the voice performances and greater investment in the storytelling could also have made this adventure far more magical.

❤️ At the UK Premiere of 'Being Heumann', I spoke to director Sian Heder (@sianheder.director), who had previously won an Oscar (@theacademy) for CODA, actress Ruth Madeley (@ruthmadeley), who played the revolutionary disability rights activitist Judith Heumann (Doctor Who: The First 60th Anniversary Speciall), actor Rob Delaney (@robdelaney) (Deadpool & Wolverine), producer Kevin Walsh (Napoleon, Manchester By The Sea), and casting directors Adam Caldwell (@adamsc01) (The Gilded Age) and Bernard Telsey (@thetelseyoffice) (Wicked, The Greatest Showman, In The Heights).

The film is a strong contender for the 99th Academy Awards and one of my favourite films for 2026.
