A journey through my opening set for @awparty_ 🌹
I often get asked what my specific “sound” is. The truth is I love all types of music and you never know what you will hear from me.

Opening has taught me that there is an art to restraint, living in a transition, and selecting songs that make you sway before you even realize you’re dancing.

For this particular set, I allowed my Nigerian American roots to be the foundation for furthering my Afro R&B agenda (lol). I leaned into records with rich, live-sounding elements, strong grooves, and enough musical weight to keep the energy moving upward without giving everything away too soon.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned practicing with Palmwine Tappers is the importance of allowing each record to naturally speak to the next, while still creating movement and progression through a journey. No two sets can ever be the same, so It was a once in a lifetime experience that I’m grateful to have been apart of.

With that being said, Welcome to 7mins of Lita’s Symphonic FOR @palmwine_tappers 🌹🌴
