So stoked about how my display setup has developed - not to mention how my board portfolio has evolved! The pixel boards turned out pretty groovy! Stay tuned for a pixelation series with new gradients and scenes every batch. This series will be a limited small batch one off designs (10-20 boards per batch) - so if you see something groovy you like, get it before it’s gone! taken in Davis, California by @nomadic_fabrications

Planning away at this hearth stool. Taking the black walnut legs from square tapered to octagon. Threw together a plywood jig I learned from @shea.elliott.alexander plans - worked out perfect. Rocking the low angle @lienielsentoolworks block plane. by @nomadic_fabrications

When your folks pick up your custom hearth stool kit from @alexander.brothers in Virginia and truck it back home to California for you! Super stoked to make my first chair - even if it’s just a lil guy. My daughter is so excited to build and shape this with me! Thanks a ton to @shea.elliott.alexander for being so chill and dealing with a million questions… and just an overall incredible mensch. Kit is black walnut legs and stretchers with a butternut seat (aka walnuts country cousin as in told). If you haven’t checked out Alexander’s brothers lumber, get ahold of your life and make better choices! taken in Davis, California by @nomadic_fabrications

Stocking up on wood before I head back into the office. @hughes_hardwoods has an amazing selection and I s where I get all my wood except stuff that has been locally reclaimed when trees fall or get cut down. They’re extremely helpful and I’d recommend them to anyone in need. First picture is a kumiko design I’m messing around with inspired by @mekwoodworks holding hands kumiko from his book. Still a few hiccups to fix but I’m stoked with it overall. Other pictures are some 6/4 black walnut I picked up today for a side table for my living room as well as some gorgeous S4S Doug fir for some frames I’m super stoked about! Happy Friday! by @nomadic_fabrications

This weekend was a good one. My @hntgordon planes arrived! Thanks to them and @heartwoodtools for getting them here in perfect condition. Pictured is a pink ivory radius plane for some chair work (#3) - some hollows and rounds - an ebony plane setting mallet and a 3/4” shoulder plane. I also got to take my @lienielsentoolworks bronze number 4 for a spin and it cuts like butta. So incredibly stoked on them tools… I think I’ve got the molding itch now - last picture is the first molding I’ve ever made free hand. taken in Davis, California by @nomadic_fabrications

Stoked on this Spalted Maple I got from @alexander.brothers . This was my first time buying wood on the internet and having it shipped. I was a bit nervous because I’m used to hand picking out the wood ima use - and not knowing what the pieces looked like made me anxious but it turned out amazing. Alexander brothers delivered beautiful wood. 10/10 would recommend and will be buying from them again. So gorgeous! Stay tuned to see what this becomes. by @nomadic_fabrications

Finished these six chaos flight boards as my last commission of 2025 for my homies over at @irrelevant_beer up in Vancouver Washington. Seb and @lowestculture are the coolest cats around and killing it up there - and if you haven’t had their beer … then you’re missing out. Sorry the pictures aren’t the best - turns out I suck at photography. On another note - I will be taking a break from the business (for the next year) due to some major life changes. That being said, I have 11 cutting boards left and won’t be making more for the foreseeable future - message me to get one before they’re gone and thanks for all the support I’ve received over the last three years. taken in Irrelevant Beer by @nomadic_fabrications

Cleaning up the edges on boards flight boards - prepping them for another round of glue ups. Been slowly chipping away at this commission for @irrelevant_beer . That @lienielsentoolworks 60 1/2 block plane makes for some smooth shavings. by @nomadic_fabrications
