Free magazines!! There, we got you - but it’s actually true. We’re excited to be exhibiting at two shows this weekend. Firstly, we will have a booth at the @vwteam_brabant event in Holland alongside our Dutch distributor, @nonstandardnl. We’d like to say a massive congratulations to @walters74 and the VWTB team for celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Huge thanks for the invite. The first 200 people to the PVW stand will receive a free back issue of the magazine (one per person) to sample just how much has changed since we took over. If you like what you see, then please subscribe. Van kaal staal naar een unieke restomod. 🛠️🇮🇹

Deze prachtige Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider staat momenteel volledig gedemonteerd en teruggebracht tot de basis: kaal staal.

Voor een relatie mag ik de volledige plaatwerkrestauratie van deze bijzondere klassieker verzorgen. De eigenaar heeft daarbij een duidelijke visie: de karakteristieke lijnen en het tijdloze ontwerp van de Duetto behouden, maar de auto tegelijkertijd transformeren tot een persoonlijke restomod.

Juist die combinatie maakt dit project bijzonder. Het klassieke karakter van de Alfa blijft de basis, terwijl er ruimte ontstaat voor moderne verbeteringen en een eigentijdse uitstraling.

Voordat we aan het plaatwerk beginnen, hebben we de carrosserie op een passende chassis/jig-constructie geplaatst en gefixeerd. Zo blijven de oorspronkelijke maatvoeringen en geometrie behouden wanneer grote delen van de carrosserie worden verwijderd voor herstel of vervanging.

Een stabiele en maatvaste basis is essentieel. Alleen dan kunnen we het plaatwerk nauwkeurig herstellen, vernieuwen en perfect laten aansluiten.

Bij BIJRick Classic&RaceCar Services draait het daarbij niet alleen om een strak eindresultaat. Het gaat om de juiste aanpak, technische kwaliteit en aandacht voor de details die uiteindelijk het verschil maken.

De komende tijd neem ik jullie graag mee in de verschillende stappen van deze bijzondere Alfa Romeo Duetto restomod.
