Hand on heart, one of the best days in my life when @richypitch came to visit me whilst he was touring Japan with the Gorillaz Sound System back in 2012.
This man was just pure gold, encouraging me to DJ despite myself being a totally wack noob back in ‘97.
We played many nights together at the legendary UK Hip Hop event “Scratch”, as well as him giving me one of the first opportunities for me to flex my cuts on wax with the underground legend J-Live on the track,
“The Lyricist”
He was a giver, sharing knowledge on music production freely. His book on how to make beats is awesome.
One of the unsung heroes of the UK Hip Hop scene, you’ll be greatly missed.
As long as I can remember, he was always with his missus Natasha who left us only a couple of years ago.
I believe that dynamic duo is back together in heaven.
Love and much respect, I hope to see you on the other side Richy. RIP. by @noodlejap
