Cancelled the membership. Built the gym at the bottom of the garden instead.

If you’ve been thinking about a space like this, or you’ve been considering an extension but want something quicker and without the planning hassle, this could be your answer.

This was a 3 week build, and with the right access we can also prefabricate and ship straight to your home.

Handmade is the new luxury.

This is the build behind one of our electric dry heat saunas, from the first cut of timber to the final fit. Every sauna we make is bespoke, designed and built by hand to suit your space, whether that’s a garden, a spare room or a corner you’ve never quite known what to do with.

If you’re thinking about adding one to your home, send us a message and we’ll talk through what’s possible.

Some jobs are quietly special. Working in a setting like this, watching the seasons turn while we build, is a big part of why we love what we do.

Ever thought your garden had space for more than just a patio?

This bespoke garden gym was designed to fit snugly into a small garden, finishing flush with the outside wall of the house so it felt like part of the property rather than an addition.

With thoughts of an extension, this became the solution that skipped the long winded planning process entirely. A gym was the only thing missing from their home, so they put their trust in us to design and build a space suited to their needs.

Pent roof. Shou sugi ban charred larch exterior. Birch ply interior. A bronzed mirrored back wall and a thick rubber gym mat floor finish.
If you have a similar project in mind, a garden studio, gym or sauna, drop us a line. We can prefabricate up to a certain size and ship anywhere in the UK.

Behind the scenes of a 3 week build.

From first cut to finished garden gym, this one came together start to finish with just the three of us. No big crew, no rushed corners, just a family team who’s been doing this for years.

A warehouse with a vision…

Why just have another storage unit when you can transform it into a pop up show room and photo studio! Our favourite collaboration with @williamwood to date. We loved the chance to show off our attention to detail - all so they can show off theirs.

Just before the heatwave hit (the weather couldn’t make up its mind), we had the pleasure of cladding this beautiful lake cabin in English Oak. There’s no finer timber to work with. It’s the perfect vernacular fit for this serene garden setting, and as it silvers over time, it’ll blend even further into the quintessential English landscape it sits within. You wouldn’t believe the amount of times we’ve see glass balustrades done wrong.

Wonky panels, wobbly panels, ugly rails - you name it we’ve seen it all. At Nook we do it right. We’re here to elevate your space, inside and out.

Now this wonderful tiered garden is toddler safe, protected from the wind all without spoiling the incredible view. #nookrooms #gardendesign #glassbalustrade taken in Devon, England by @nookrooms
