My content has been a little random lately. Truth is, I haven’t always known what to post.

Then the other day, while clearing out the kids’ shoe cupboard and putting aside all the pairs they’ve outgrown, I looked at them properly.

Scratched. Dirty. Scuffed. Some of them completely wrecked.

And for some reason, it took me back years.

I remembered being on the beach in my hometown when Gonzalo was tiny. He was absolutely covered in sand, probably with a runny nose, drool everywhere, his cap crooked… basically a complete mess. 😂

Right next to us were these perfectly clean children, happily playing without somehow getting a single grain of sand on themselves.

My husband and I looked at each other like… are we doing this wrong? Are we just a bit of a disaster?

But we weren’t.

Our little boy was having the BEST day. And so were we.

On the same beach where my mum took me as a child. Where she had played as a child. And where my grandmother and great-grandmother had played before us.

So I started looking through old photos.

The first one in this carousel was taken during Covid. It had been raining all day and all Gonzalo wanted to do was jump in the puddles.

The photo speaks for itself. But what I remember isn’t the mud, or his wet clothes, or what his shoes looked like afterwards.

I remember his laugh. His excitement. The look on his face.

And suddenly those battered little shoes in the cupboard didn’t look quite so ruined anymore.

They looked like evidence of a childhood well lived.

Buy good shoes. Then let them live in them. 🤍 by @noorandsol

Some things mean more. 💛

Running a small business is about so much more than selling products.

It’s the excitement of discovering a new collection, the care that goes into choosing every little detail, the conversations with our customers, and the joy of seeing our shoes become part of someone’s everyday life.

At Noor & Sol, we’re far from perfect. We’re learning as we go, juggling a hundred things at once, and putting a little piece of ourselves into everything we do.

Because behind every small business, there’s a real person, a lot of heart, and a story still being written.

And that’s what makes it all mean so much more. ☀️

A little piece of Spain in Dubai! 🇪🇸💛

The Baby & Kids Expo Dubai wrapped up yesterday, and it was such a pleasure to see some wonderful Spanish brands showcasing their collections here in the UAE!

And of course, I couldn’t miss a visit to Cóndor! ❤️

Founded in Barcelona in 1898, Cóndor has been part of Spanish childhoods for generations. Known for its beautiful quality, timeless designs and attention to the smallest details, it’s one of those brands that brings back so many memories.

And one we’re especially proud to offer at Noor & Sol!

It was lovely to explore more of their collection, from their classic openwork socks and beautiful bows to their barefoot range and so many gorgeous colours and styles.

We already stock a selection of Cóndor, but there’s so much more to discover!

So, tell me… did anything catch your eye? 👀

Which styles would you love us to bring to Noor & Sol next? We’d love your help choosing! 💛

Not every photoshoot goes to plan… 😂❤️

The truth is, our photoshoots are rarely planned!

Most of the time, we’re just enjoying family moments, and I take the opportunity to snap a few photos or record a little video along the way.

Our models are always my children or our friends’ little ones. Nothing too organised, just real moments!

And then there’s Inés… our unofficial head model. 😂

She absolutely loves being involved, always has a hundred ideas of her own and usually steals the show.

But let’s just say she also has a very strong personality… and the photoshoot ends when she says it does! ❤️

A little glimpse behind the scenes of Noor & Sol. 💙
