A fairy tale day in Uplistsikhe & Mtskheta🇬🇪

Exploring Georgia’s history at this two UNESCO World Heritage Sites 🗺️

📍Mtskheta
(pronounced roughly "Mtskhe-ta") is one of the oldest & most historically important towns in Georgia!

It was once the capital of the ancient Georgian Kingdom of Iberia, long before Tbilisi became the capital.
I’m loving the old city vibes!🥰

an ancient rock-hewn town dating back to the early Bronze Age, carved into sandstone cliffs 3,000 of years ago!🗿

I’m fascinated to see this ancient cave city carved into the rocks, dating back to the early 1st millennium BC..
which is more than 3,000 years of history!😲 Wow!!

Walking through these ancient caves, tunnels & sandstone feels like travelling back in time. A true feast for the eyes! ✨

Little did we know that we’d be eating sturgeon fish (which the locals call catfish) when we arrived in Georgia! 🇬🇪🐟

Did you know that sturgeon is the fish that produces caviar? 🤩

This is a special birthday holiday trip for the October babies me, Naqeeb & Nausha! 🥳🎉❤️

And now that Naqeeb is turning 15, that means… “No cake for me, Mama!” 🤣 alaa.. melepas chance Mama makan birthday cake! 😂🎂

Anyway, the fish was surprisingly tender & tasted similar to our ikan keli & ikan patin back home in Malaysia! 🇲🇾

The best part? It was freshly prepared from the farm, seasoned & grilled on the spot! delicious! 😋👍

We loved it! But imagine if ada nasi panas dengan sambal balado sekali… fuhhh, lagi mantap! 🤣🍚🌶️

Thank you to my three little loves for the thoughtful presents, & to my loving hubby for the gorgeous flowers, putting up with me all these years hehe 😂❤️ and for a lovely family birthday dinner. ✨

Being away from home feels a little different this year, but I’m so grateful to be surrounded by so much love. 🤍

Alhamdulillah 🤍 After almost 4 months since we moved to Kazakhstan, our belongings have finally arrived! 🤗📦

He’s been asking to learn since last year… and finally, Mama said, “Okay, jom!” 😂

Teaching him one of the most Malaysians FAVOURITE…

Hopefully next round, he can do it 100% hands on by himself. 🙌🏻
Slowly building those life skills… and keeping a little taste of home alive, wherever we are. 🥹🤍

🥉BRONZE MEDAL Master Category! 🥹✨An unexpected win for us in this mixed doubles tournament. Honestly, still feeling surreal! 🥹✨

We only started getting into this new sport together a month ago in Kazakhstan🇰🇿.. and there’s still SO much for us to learn.

But this reminded us that sometimes, you just have to enjoy the game, trust each other & give it your best. 💪🏻

It was definitely not easy, many of the participants are very experienced tennis players & some are even tennis & Padel coaches! 😮‍💨 So to walk away with a bronze medal… Alhamdulillah, what a blessing. 🥹🥉

We’re slowly growing to love this sport more & more,
& I’m excited for all the learning, improving, laughing, & playing ahead with mi Amor. 🤍

Thank You, Allah, for this opportunity & for allowing us to experience this together.

Our MC fam, @noornordin & @natashastoryfood , decided to try Padel for the first time, and jump straight into a local tournament while they were at it.

What amazes me most is how cleverly it’s designed!🤩

🛖 It’s called yurta (yurt).. A traditional portable home used by the nomadic people of Kazakhstan 😲🇰🇿✨

The wooden frame can be taken apart & transported as nomadic families moved from one place to another.

The structure is then covered with thick felt (traditionally made from sheep’s wool) which helps keep the inside warm in the cold & cool during hot summers.

And that beautiful round shape isn’t just for aesthetics..
It provides strength, good airflow & makes the space surprisingly cosy inside. 🤍

Imagine packing up your entire home & taking it with you wherever you go… with horses & camels!
Truly incredible nomadic ingenuity! 😍

And of course, what makes the experience even more special is their amazing hospitality. ❤️

“Wait… this is Kazakhstan?!”😲🥹

Kaindy Lake is honestly one of those places where you just look at the view and go… WOAAAHHHH! 🤍

And this is exactly why Kazakhstan is called the Switzerland of Central Asia 🏔️✨

The turquoise water, breathtaking mountains & those actual trees rising out of the lake… it looks unreal! ⛰️🌲💙
