NoPartyHere ARTS CLUB presents Failtrylagi & Friends, a journey through genreless realms and fluid soundscapes. Boundaries blur, music dies. Friends become family, self-introspection rekindles, and no one’s a dancing pro. Amidst quirky fog and bright lights, spills happen, DJs slip up. Bodies move with abandon to the symphony of joyful mishaps.

NoPartyHere ARTS CLUB presents Failtrylagi & Friends, a sonic portal into genreless dimensions and fluid soundscapes, where boundaries between beats blur and music dies. Friends become family, you meet yourself again for the first time, and you realise everyone is bad at dancing. The fog machine smells funny, the lights are a bit too bright, someone spills their drink on you, and the DJ fucks up. Your body beckons to dance with abandon as you become part of the harmonious symphony where everyone fails and has a good laugh about it.

🛠🔈🕊 This trip will be guided by failtrylagi (@failtrylagi), Kenzo (@kenzo_nagari), desjrée (@fujuray), Fauxe (@fauxe_91) and Yttomp3.sg (@sweetmarysue). Tickets out now on Eventbrite. by @nopartyherehq

Cheryl’s a percussionist active in music performance and education, and regularly performs with avant rock group, The Observatory (@theobservatorysg). Cheryl was classically trained but has consistently struggled with the fact that classical music can be divisive and limited to its roles. Tired of being a mere technician, Cheryl has gone on to explore improvisational and experimental practices in recent years, hunting down new ideas and sounds.

Recent performances include All Ears, Festival (2020, Norway) with the Guro (Dyna)Mo Revolution Sextet; AngelicA Festival (2019, Bologna) in a duo with Vivian Wang; Kombo, CTM Festival (2019, Berlin); with the Common Tonalities Ensemble as part of Nusasonic HCMC (@nusasonic), aaaand just a couple of weekends ago, a set at @intervention.party with DJ crew St John’s Brigade V’ - ‘)v by @nopartyherehq

In the gutters, speed knows no limit, melodies coalesce with desperate rallies, bass mimics the rumblings of shattered concrete. Like vapour they spread contaminating everything that stands in its way. Borne out of brain faeces and ear worms—Vangoth666 by @nopartyherehq
