Every season is SPF season 🔆 your skin is a cute sponge 🧽 for UV rays YEAR-ROUND. The issue is people think spf=breakouts or 0 tan. WRONG. If your SPF is causing you to break out that just means youre using the wrong KIND! There are 3 main types of SPF. Mineral, chemical, and hybrid. 🌼Mineral- using zinc and titanium to block uv rays from entering the skin.Chemical- uses certain ingredients like Avobenzone and Homosalate to absorb UV rays, convert them into heat, and release them from the body.Hybrid-Combines mineral and chemical to provide both reflection and absorption of UV rays.🏵Beyond the formula, there's also hundreds of WAYS to apply. Lotions, sprays, sticks, serums, gels, the list goes on. It is all about trial and error, but if you have oily/acne prone skin then keep your eyes out for lightweight, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), and oil-free formulas. It's all about keeping the ingredients your skin loves like niacinamide, zinc oxide, or hyaluronic acid to calm redness and keep pores clear.🌻If you're worried about getting a beautiful bronze this year DO NOT exile your SPF!!!Sunscreen reduces the amount of UV radiation that reaches your skin, but it does not block 100% of rays, allowing a slow, often safer, tan to develop.
