“There’s a reason players like you and I find each other. It’s perfect timing, our paths to cross and unite for a greater purpose. Maybe it’s fate. But one thing I know, it’s not an accident that we found each other.”

At this part of my coaching career, every game, every second, every moment means so much to me. There’s no words in how I feel about this group and the sacrifice they all made to be apart of this FAMILY 🩵🩷. It’s never been about the wins and losses but the lessons learned. Each game we talked about what needed to improve as well as what we did good.

This group was an entirely new group compared to last year. We moved some girls up, added some new ones, and from March till now, I saw each and everyone grow as a player and person. At times they got so comfortable, it was joke times for them and them nagging me each and every day 😉. But when it was all over, I saw them get closer and closer as a team. That for me as a coach, you know there will be ups and downs, but when that final horn hit, I was relieved, sad, and just happy for them because they earned everything. So many life lessons taught. A year of injuries, there was no excuses, it was the next player up, and throughout that I saw encouragement, learning, wanting to be better for their teammates, coachable, and a passion for the game.

Thank You to the families for all the sacrifice you made to make this happen. Thank You for giving me the opportunity to coach your girl and trust them with us.Thank You to the girls for believing in the process and giving Coach Geoff and I a chance to coach all of you. Thank You Coach Geoff for all the help, scouting, in game adjustments, couldn’t have done this without you. Thank You to my favorite #13 for being apart of this and giving back to all these ladies who some strive to be where you are at. This isn’t over, it’s maybe see you soon, one last ride in my coaching Career in Chicago 2025? #WEoverME #OneTeamOneFamily 🩵🩷
