Not bad, Citizen. Not bad at all. First I tried a silver, brushed dial version of The Citizen and found the contrast between hands, markers and dial lacking. It was illegible and too flashy, but I loved the light weight, the precision, the overall quality and proportions. Then I found this one with an indigo washi paper dial. It is fantastic. Next maybe I'll try it on a lighter grey suede strap - unless you have other suggestions? Thanks to @bulovas_and_bolt_actions for being a good (bad?) influence in finally pulling the trigger on one of these. by @norcalwatch

The Gene Kranz re-edition Seiko #srpl93 is my most worn watch of the last few months (when I'm not wearing my Hanhart 417 ES). I surf and wakeboard with it, work with it, wipe my toddler's butt while wearing it. Trust the push pull crown and enjoy - it'll be fine folks. by @norcalwatch

A new watch for me, the Massena Lab Uni-Racer. Other than the movement and the size (39 vs 36 original) it is pretty much a straight copy of the Universal Geneve Uni-Compax Big Eye, of which there were maybe 50 copies ever made. Little bit of red on the sector details in the dial and subdials, blued hands for subdials, nicely shaped minute and hour hands, and overall fairly slim case. It is a quirky design and I like it! I think the marketing materials and original price were a bit off the mark (it made this sound like more of a reinterpretation than it really is) but the execution of the watch itself is what really matters and they did a great job. by @norcalwatch

I'm enjoying the new #sje093 #62mas re-issue from Seiko though truth be told, the 12 o'clock marker has really uneven surface to the lume, and the movement is running very poorly (worse than any watch I've owned). All that is secondary though to the amazing overall design. #vintagediver #divewatchporn #seikodiver by @norcalwatch

The new #sericawatches #6190 is both classic and modern with just the right amount of funk. As a left-handed Californian who enjoys time in the mountains, this watch with a destro crown, Cali dial, and ref number referring to the highest peak in North America feels like a good match. Great work @sericawatches by @norcalwatch

Before the much hyped 37mm #tudorwatch #bb54 there was the #radocaptaincook in the original 37mm size, which was a collaboration with @wei_koh_revolution @revolution.watch and @therake. I'm a big fan. Both have vintage touches while still feeling modern, and both wear very well on my 7.25" wrist. I'm also digging the comfort of this milanese bracelet. by @norcalwatch

My new Tudor Black Bay 54 on 7.25" wrist. I'm not usually a bracelet fan but this clasp isn't too long, and it follows the contour of my wrist nicely. Comfortable and sleek. This watch wears much bigger than the 37mm size would suggest. Lume is weak though and bezel pip is misaligned just like others I've seen. #tudorblackbay #blackbay54 #tudorwatch #tudorwatches by @norcalwatch
