🎙️Episode 76

Tune into Episode 76 with my special guest, Noreen Ehrlich @Noreen.Ehrlich and @defynhustle.

📍📍What did we chat about?📍📍
In this conversation, we discussed navigating inflection points and building a bridge — not a leap — to your next chapter. Noreen shares her journey from Ernst & Young and investment banking in Manhattan to founding Defy and Hustle Business Solutions and how she learned to stop leaping blindly and start building strategically. We dive deep into portable value — the dependability, leadership, judgment, kindness, and capability you carry with you, no matter what title you leave behind — and why so many women underestimate it.

📍📍This episode is for you, if you:
▪️Feel stuck at an inflection point: You know what used to work no longer fits, but you're not sure what comes next, and you want a clearer, safer, more strategic next step.

▪️Are leaving corporate, starting, or fortifying a business: You want to clarify what comes next before committing more time, money, visibility, or relationship capital.

▪️Struggle with fear of losing the title and the salary: You want to recognize and own your portable value, and stop letting fear keep you stuck.

📍📍Who is Noreen?
Noreen Ehrlich is the founder and strategic advisor of Defy and Hustle Business Solutions. She is a CPA, former CFO,and investment fund executive. Through Defy and Hustle, she helps founders, operators, and professionals at inflection points build a bridge to their next chapter: a clear, strategic, 90-day path from where they are to where they next intend to be.

When the requirement changes, the architecture has to change with it.

Growth can introduce new capital responsibilities, operating complexity, and institutional expectations before an organization is fully structured to meet them.

At that point, the question is no longer simply how to grow.

It’s whether the firm has the financial, operating, and organizational architecture to carry what comes next.

Institutional Growth Advisory™ brings executive judgment to those consequential transitions.

Drawing on more than two decades of CFO and executive leadership experience, I work with founder-led and investment-oriented firms to strengthen decision structures, operating capabilities, and institutional readiness.

Executive judgment for consequential growth.

Abundance is not the absence of challenge. It is the understanding that challenge is never the whole story.

Business asks us to pay attention, recalibrate, make better decisions and keep playing our part—creating value, solving problems, opening doors and being of service to one another.

I believe abundance is trusting that there is always more possibility available than we can see from where we are standing.

We still do the work. We still make the calls. We still make the decisions.

Fear may speak. It does not get to lead.

There is more ahead. 🕊️🕊️🕊️

Financial wellness is about more than numbers. It’s about having room to ask questions, reflect on what we’ve learned about money, and take a next step that works for our families.

After our Faith, Funds & Forward Motion session last week, one parent shared what the conversation meant to them. We’re grateful they trusted us with their reflection. 💙

Thank you to @noreen.ehrlich for guiding the conversation and to @jmaiiacenter for partnering with Middletown WORKS to create this space.

Faith gave us room to believe. Funds required us to look honestly at the numbers. Forward motion helped us turn what we learned into practical next steps.

This week’s Recalibration Lab session, Faith, Funds & Forward Motion, created space for parents to assess their current financial reality, identify gaps and risks, and begin building a pathway toward greater financial independence.

Thank you to @noreen.ehrlich, founder of @defynhustle ™ Business Solutions and former Wall Street CFO, for facilitating an honest, encouraging, and action-focused conversation about financial wellness.

The Recalibration Lab was developed by Cameron English, founder of the @jmaiiacenter, in partnership with Middletown Works.

“Oh, you’re making me believe it too!” 🎶

Can you hear it?

Above the noise, there is still beautiful music. Wonderful things are happening. Kind people are helping one another. New doors are opening. People are reinventing themselves, finding purpose, and beginning again. 🌸

I just learned that Huey Lewis is now represented as a keynote speaker, sharing stories about resilience, adaptation, and turning setbacks into opportunity.

That feels like a pretty wonderful second act. 😊

The world is not without its challenges. But I continue to believe there is far more goodness, possibility, creativity, and connection around us than the headlines would sometimes have us believe.

So glad. 🎵🌼

Happy Monday. Keep listening for the music.

Tomorrow evening in Berlin, CT - Get Your Money Right, Sis!

I’ll be leading Faith, Funds & Forward Motion as part of The Recalibration Lab — a practical financial wellness workshop designed to help participants look at what greater independence could mean for them, understand what supports their household today, and think more clearly about what may change as income grows.

We’ll work through the decisions together using a participant workbook built around Aspire, Mobilize, and Ascend — moving from possibility, to preparation, to the next wise action.

The goal isn’t simply to “earn more.” It’s to understand what strengthens the household as a whole and how to move forward with greater clarity.

Faith gives us direction.
Numbers give us footing.
Action creates forward motion.

A little glimpse inside the workbook we’ll be using tomorrow. by @noreen.ehrlich

Movement is not the same as a model.

The Bankable Build™ is for founders, principals, and emerging operators who already have something real in motion — but need clearer structure underneath the business before the next stage.

We clarify:
offer direction, right-fit clientele, pricing and scope, revenue targets, conversion priorities, and what the next 90 days need to prove.

The goal is not more ideas. It is a business that is easier to explain, price, sell, deliver, and trust.

Investment begins at $2,500. Premium begins at $3,500.
