A dream fulfilled, a degree earned, and a sisterhood forever cherished…

Becoming a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was one of the biggest blessings of my college experience. This sisterhood has poured into me, challenged me, and gifted me with women I now call my sisters for life. It’s given me unforgettable memories and a deeper understanding of purpose and service.

Dear 33 S.E.L.E.N.E ~ Never would I have imagined a time where I’d be gaining 32 sisters. Without you all, I don’t think my college experience would’ve been the same. You’ve taught me lessons that I will cherish forever and I love each and every one of you dearly. Thank you for the years, the memories, and laughs. Our bond is one to never be broken.

Dear Celest18l P.E.A.R.L.S ~ Our forever babies…being your big sister is an honor. Watching you grow, persevere, and finally step into this sisterhood has been such a special experience, and I feel so blessed to have been part of your journey. They say time flies…

Thank you @univmiami for the most memorable 4 years I could have ever asked for. You gave me friendships to last a lifetime, lessons that shaped me, memories I’ll never forget, and a version of myself I once dreamed of becoming.

From the very beginning, the University of Miami was my dream school. To now be standing here as a graduate feels beyond surreal and I’d be wrong to say that these four years were easy. I was challenged mentally, emotionally, and physically in ways I never could have imagined. There were long nights, early mornings, tears, sacrifices, and moments where I had to remind myself why I started and who I did it for. But through it all, the end goal was always attainable because she held my hand the whole way.

Mami, I hope I made you so proud with the hard work, faith, discipline, and resilience it took to get here. This chapter has grown me in more ways than I can explain, and I’m walking away with a heart full of gratitude, purpose, and excitement for everything that’s next.
