This fall, Norman Firehouse Art Center proudly presents Dale Dale Dale: The Art of the Piñata, a vibrant exhibition celebrating the artistry, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage behind one of Mexico's most beloved traditions.

Featuring the incredible work of Mayra Reza and Rafael Salinas, this exhibition invites you to see the piñata in a whole new light. Beyond the celebration, each handcrafted piece tells a story through paper, texture, color, and form, honoring generations of creativity while showcasing the joy, imagination, and community that make this art form so meaningful.

Join us for the Opening Reception on Thursday, September 17, from 5:30–8:00 PM, and explore the exhibition through November 1, 2026. We can't wait to fiesta with you!

Self-portraits can be daunting. Challenge your fiercest critic, own your personal representation, and paint with abandon. From sketch to completion, every choice can be correct if you decide it is. Let's make our faces known.

Dinnerware for Two with @katherinegaff , Monday 6:00-9:00pm
Join the Firehouse Art Center for a four-week intensive workshop to create a complete dinner set for two. Using our high-fire clay body, use a mix of hand-building and wheel techniques to create a custom dinner set for two. Including, two plates, two cups/mugs, two bowls, and two serving bowls.

Fused Glass Scapes with @persimmoncreekglass Monday 6:00-8:00 pm
Create a glass scape of your choice; let your imagination run wild. You will have the freedom to choose a design and color scheme. Design a glass scape inspired by flowers, nature, animals, the holiday season, or sports; it is completely up to you. This is hands-on experience, and no previous kiln-fused glass experience is necessary. Learn to score, break, and shape glass.

This beautiful piece was created as a collaborative work during our SPARK! Gala, with everyone who attended getting the chance to be part of it. The finished piece will be displayed at Firehouse Art Center as a tribute to the three potters who founded the Firehouse and helped shape it into the creative community it is today.

The Firehouse Art Center’s Holiday Gift Gallery is back, and we want your work to be part of it!

We’re looking for original, handmade artwork in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, painting, photography, prints, jewelry, wood, glass, mixed media, seasonal décor, and more. We’re looking for unique pieces at a range of price points that shoppers will love gifting or taking home for themselves.

Last year, more than 1,000 Norman shoppers visited the Holiday Gift Gallery! Come be part of this favorite holiday tradition and share your work with the community.

✍🏻 New Class Alert! 🚨Creating digital art can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! The @procreate app is a fantastic, user-friendly way of creating stunning illustrations and lettering. I, myself, have used Procreate a ton over the years to create greeting cards, art prints, book covers and mural designs! So what will you learn in class? In this 4-week course at @normanfirehouse , we will be learning all about working in layers, using and customizing brushes, as well as creating masks in Procreate. This course will also go over best practices, my favorite brushes to use, and how to create your own custom illustrated art print!
