Treatment Acceptance (aka Sales)

The big question on this topic is: How can you increase the patient’s or client’s UNDERSTANDING of what you are presenting so they WANT to go ahead with the ideal care you are presenting and CHOOSE to do so?

The patient came to you depending on you to help them understand the problem, choose the best solution and feel confident moving forward. But when you tell them, they say “I’ll think about it” or “Does my insurance cover it?” Very frustrating.

Tips for you:
1. Always view yourself and the patients a teammates. You both want what’s best.
2. View any objection that surfaces as an invisible barrier, which, now visible, can be dealt with and overcome.
3. Whenever the patient offers you an objection, welcome it as a gift.
4. Handle each objection with no less CARE and skill than it takes to reduce it out of the way of acceptance of the treatment.

Stats are Your Efficiency Tool

Managing a practice is like driving a car. If you aren’t in the driver’s seat, who is driving it? You are also supposed to be the one selecting the direction. Even a GPS won’t help you get where you want to go if you haven’t put in the destination.
Like a car, a practice has gauges that can measure the performance and production output. They can predict future difficulties or successes. In a practice, the gauges are called “statistics.”
Paying attention to the various stats of a practice will tell you how efficiently you are moving towards your destination. The key here is that you can always do SOMETHING about it if you are in the driver’s seat and paying attention.
