Meet Ydaly Mer — the lead artist behind the iconic Health is Wealth mural on North Broad. 🎨

What began as an investment in local art didn't stop at the mural. Ydaly's work caught the attention of a leader in Baltimore, who invited her to bring her talents to a gateway project there.

Last week was a reminder of how much work happens behind the scenes to help shape the future of Philadelphia.

I had the opportunity to cover the @northbroad_ Business Advisory Council meeting, connect with people doing meaningful work in the community, and learn more about the vision for one of Philly’s most dynamic corridors. They meet monthly and would love for those connected to reach out!

There’s something powerful about getting in the room, hearing the conversations, meeting the people behind the work, and seeing how businesses and community leaders can come together to create real impact.

North Broad has so much happening, and I’m excited to continue highlighting the people, businesses, events, and initiatives helping move Philly forward.

If you’re connected to North Broad in any way, definitely keep an eye on what’s happening next. They are always looking for help from us; the community!

The North Broad Renaissance is a non profit who operates the Business Improvement District and Special Service District along North Broad from City Hall to Butler. A lot of people don’t know what this is, but they are literally all over the city; the biggest being Center City.
