🏅Mansfield Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

Mansfield, Pa. – The Mansfield Mountaineer cross country program has announced their 2026 schedule, featuring eight meets, including two championship events.

Under head coach Nick Mattis, the season opener will be on Friday Sept. 4, at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational.

The Mounties then head to Kutztown to take part in the DII/DIII Challenge on Sept. 12.

After a week off, Mansfield travels to Lock Haven for the for the Lock Haven Invite on Sept. 26 and then the Paul Short Run on Friday Oct. 2, hosted by Lehigh University.

Rounding out the regular season, the team travels Bloomsburg (Oct.17) and Lock Haven (Oct. 24) in back-to-back weeks.

November 7 starts the postseason races with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Cross Country Championships hosted at Bloomsburg.

The NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship will be held in Winston-Salem, N.C. and takes place on November 21.

🏈Football Announces Free Youth Camp

Bloomsburg, Pa. - The Bloomsburg football team announced its one-day free youth football camp for Sunday, August 16 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Redman Stadium on the campus of Bloomsburg.

The Bloomsburg Football Youth Camp is for all students, boys and girls, that are entering into grades 2-6. The camp will be led by the Bloomsburg coaching staff as well as current members of the 2026 Bloomsburg football team. The campers will have the chance to learn a number of basic fundamentals of the game of football on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The goal is to teach and better the skills of the campers while having a fun and exciting time.

While the camp will be completely non-contact and safe for all participants, parents are required to stay for the duration of the camp. Participants should wear athletic shorts and shoes and bring their own bottle of water with their name on it. We look forward to hosting future Huskies in Redman Stadium!

1:55 PM - Offense & Defense Stations

⚾Williams Lifts Cutters

Matthew Williams drove in four runs as the Crosscutters topped the Spikes, 13-7 to open their two-game set on Monday night.

Williams doubled in a run in the 2nd inning, belted a two-run home run in the 3rd and plated a run with a bases loaded hit by pitch in the 8th inning. The Cutters 1st Basemen was a part of six of the 13 runs. He has now homered in back-to-back games.

James McCoy picked up his second-straight three-hit performance, finishing the night 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a pair of runs scored. McCoy is 6-for-8 over his last two games.

Chris Stanfield picked up his fourth three-hit game of the summer, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Stanfield has reached base in 17-straight games and has scored a run in 8-sraight.

Nick Barone extended hit on-base streak to 21-straight games, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Josh Willitts delivered six shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk. The right-hander out of NJIT struck out five as he earned his first win of the season.

🥎Our sportsmanship award for the 8-10 State Softball Tournament goes to Mid Valley. From start to finish this team represented their league with nothing but class. The coaches and players were extremely thankful of the South Williamsport Little League staff. Nothing but good things to say about this team, the coaches, and league. Well done, Mid Valley.
