If you’re going to a boozer to watch Mexico v England in the wee small hours, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do it at your local independent pub.

It is so hard out there now for operators and the big boys do not need your money. That local community boozer run by a local face on the corner near your home does.

Doing London Pub Explorer for close to 20 years I’m honoured to call many publicans across London friends. They are tenacious fighters but it is hard to see so may of them struggle as they’re squeezed financially and their customer base, on some manors, is disappears.

The World Cup and Euros are huge financial shots in the arm for indie pubs and can also see long term behaviour change with punters visiting their local more often if they have a great experience.

I’ll be propping up the bar at my cherished independent local @northcotee11 tonight (last entry 00:50) and cheering on the Three Lions. I hope, if you can afford to, you’re doing the same at your local indie too.

Thanks to these handsome fellas the Roast Dinner Pizza is back on the menu for this weekend only!

This insane pizza will mess with your brain on sight & will taste like the Christmas Dinner your nan would never make.
