Welcome back, Huskies! As you settle in for the fall semester, here are some important ways the library can help @northeastern students with your research (and help you relax).

⏰ Visit Snell Library whenever you want β€” we're open 24/7 with a Husky ID.
πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» Ensure space for group work or study group by reserving a study room.
πŸ§‘β€πŸ« No matter your major, we have specialized librarians who can help you find exactly what you need.
🌐 We have countless online databases and resources for you to access whenever and wherever you need.
πŸ“š Take a break from textbooks with our popular fiction and nonfiction collection, both in print and as e-books and audiobooks on the Libby app.
πŸ“† We hold regular online and in person events, from academic workshops and info sessions to game nights and therapy dog snuggle time. Check out the events calendar in our bio.
❓ If you need research help ASAP, we have an in-person reference desk and 24/7 chat service so you can drop in any time.
πŸŽ‰ Want more information about the library? Drop by our Library Resource Open House on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. EDT in the Research & Teaching Hub (Snell Library 215). Image of a student studying outside of Snell Library with the words "Library Facts." by @northeasternlib

The papers of Miren Uriarte are now available to research, thanks to @nu_archives.

Uriarte was a sociologist who collected internal documents, reports, publications, and oral history recordings that provide a window into the history of social justice and civil rights issues in Boston's Latinx community.

Yesterday, @nu_archives invited people to view the recently processed Nancy F. Walker Papers. Walker was a gay rights activist and writer in Boston, and her collections include publications documenting LGBTQA+ life in Boston in the 1950s-1980s.

In case you missed it, here are some of the items that were on display. A woman stands outside, with a street and house behind her. She has short dark hair and is wearing a white coat. She has a bored look on her face and her face is resting in her hand. by @northeasternlib

Snell Library hosted its first Recreational Resource Fair yesterday, showing off some of our programs and collections that are designed to help students relax and de-stress. In case you missed it, here are some highlights:

🐢 @nucampusdogs visit every Wednesday morning and afternoon, in the lobby and in Snell Library 215.
πŸ“† We regularly host fun events, like trivia nights, as well as weekly craft sessions on Tuesdays in Snell Library 215.
πŸ“š Popular books are available to browse in the Snell Library lobby, and we have an extensive collection of e-books and audiobooks on the Libby app. Our monthly @NUReadingChallenge also encourages you to read a themed book to win a prize.
🎲 Games from ever-growing board game collection can be borrowed for three days.
🎬 Feature films and popular documentaries are available through the Kanopy database.
πŸ“š We have book clubs that discuss banned books, underrepresented voices in STEM, and public and rural health, as well as one just for first year students.
πŸŽ™ Our Recording Studios allow students to make audio and video recordings and edit them, including albums and podcasts.
