“see enough and write it down, I tell myself, and then some morning when the world seems drained of wonder, some day when I am only going through the motions of doing what I am supposed to do […] on that bankrupt morning I will simply open my notebook and there it will all be, a forgotten account with accumulated interest, paid passage back to the world out there.”

As said in a recent email to a friend; sometimes the best thing you can do for a creative project is take ten steps back. Look at it from afar, turn it off, let your mind wander, immerse yourself in something else for a time. by @northernrip

A teaser from Ed Sash’s article to be featured in Refugia. This striking piece explores the intersection of illness, chronic pain, trauma, and artistic expression. Those in the NR MUST go to the exhibition launching this phenomenal collection of works by Ed, on the 30th of Jan at Garage Gallery in Mullumbimby.

An important mention: Ed’s collection of works will be alongside his partner Bess’ incredible works too. Whose photography features in Ed’s piece in print.

These photographs by the one and only Cassandra Scott-Finn.
