🐾 Our October shout it is... Ashley! 🐾

Ashley has been part of our NFAH family for 6 years and has an impressive 19 years in the veterinary field! ❤️

Ashley is our go-to girl for all things fashion, books, and recipes! She’s easygoing, always willing to help, and somehow seems to know when you need something before you even have to ask. 😅

She brings laughter, smiles, and positive energy every time she walks through the door and is always encouraging and cheering on the rest of the team. She truly has a way of making everyone around her feel loved and appreciated.

And when Ashley is away, everyone knows it—and everyone feels it! We are so thankful to have her as part of our team and are lucky to call her one of our own. ❤️ by @northforsythvet

2018 ➡️ 2026

They may be a little bigger, a little grayer, and a LOT more distinguished these days, but one thing hasn’t changed… they’re still the best of friends! 🐾❤️

From puppy days to grown-up adventures, these three have been making memories together for YEARS! We absolutely love getting to watch these furry friends grow. 🥰 by @northforsythvet

This handsome, fluffy little guy is Koda, a 4-month-old Australian Shepherd who came to see us for his puppy vaccines! 🐶💉

Koda was sweet, snuggly, and SO brave for his big-boy visit! 🥰 He definitely won over our hearts while he was here. ❤️

We’ll see you next time, Koda! 🐾 by @northforsythvet

Fun Fact!

Did you know ear mites are tiny parasites that can cause itchy ears, dark “coffee-ground” debris, and lots of head shaking in pets—especially cats? 🐶🐱

The good news? They’re treatable! If your pet is scratching their ears more than usual, it may be time for a check-up.

🔬 Here are some pictures of ear mites under the microscope! 👀 by @northforsythvet

Allergy season is approaching, and just like us, pets can suffer from allergies too!🤧🐾

Common signs include:

Excessive scratching or licking
Red or irritated skin
Itchy ears or recurring ear infections
Licking or chewing their paws
Over-grooming or hair loss

Pets can be allergic to pollen, grass, mold, dust mites, fleas, and sometimes food.

If your pet is constantly itchy, don't just assume it's normal! There are many ways we can help manage allergies and keep your furry friend comfortable.❤ by @northforsythvet

Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day.

If your pet needs any medications, refills, appointments, food, or anything else from us, please be sure to take care of it by Friday, September 4th!

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Tuesday, September 8th and can’t wait to see everyone then!

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! ❤️💙 by @northforsythvet

Many of you know our amazing Practice Manager, Zach, but you may not realize just how many hats he wears around here! He is our resident custodial, janitorial, and electrical technician, TikTok sharer, chef, problem solver, and somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly in between! 😂

Zach is professional, kind, organized, compassionate, and hilarious. He is also always thinking of others. Anytime he runs out of the office, he is quick to ask if anyone needs anything—whether that means snacks, coffee, smoothies, breakfast, lunch, or just about anything else. His thoughtfulness and generosity never goes unnoticed!

He is also incredibly kind and patient with all of us. And considering he works with an office full of women... well, you can imagine that sometimes his patience is put to the test! 😂 But Zach handles it all with professionalism, grace, and a good sense of humor.

Zach truly is the backbone of our clinic. While he spends plenty of time entertaining all of us, he also keeps the business side of the hospital flowing with ease. He brings many years of veterinary experience with him, having started working at his dad's clinic as a teenager. If you ever have a question, concern, or need help figuring something out, Zach is definitely your guy!

THANK YOU, Zach, for everything you do day in and day out! We could not be more appreciative of your hard work, dedication, kindness, and all the many ways you take care of our team. We are so lucky to have you! 💙 by @northforsythvet

We had the pleasure of meeting sweet Ms. Gertie last week, and let’s just say… she was full of surprises! 🥰🐾

Gertie is a two-year-old French Bulldog, but she’s not your typical Frenchie… she’s FLUFFY! 😍 We were quite surprised when this little nugget came walking through our doors! Typically, Frenchies have short, sleek coats, but Gertie’s fur is soft, fluffy, and absolutely adorable. 💕 She was especially fascinated by our little foster kitten and could not keep her eyes off of her.

We couldn’t wait to share this adorable girl with all of you, and we are already so excited to see Ms. Gertie again in the future! 🥰 by @northforsythvet

Say hello to our handsome foster kitty, Tom Tom! 🐱

Tom Tom came to us about a month ago with a wound on his leg that has been tough to heal. After spending a few months at the humane society, he was brought to us so Dr. Croy and Dr. Daniel could work their magic and give his leg the best chance at healing before having to move forward with amputation.

Since then, Tom Tom has completely wiggled his way into our hearts! 🥹❤️ We all look forward to seeing his sweet face every morning when we come in, and he has quickly become a very special part of our days.

We’re even working on a little foster fail over here… 🤫😂 Wish us luck with Zach! 😅

We are super hopeful that Tom Tom’s leg will continue to heal and that he will soon find his forever home—whether that ends up being with us or another lucky family. Until then, we’ll continue giving this handsome boy all the love and care he deserves! 🐾❤️ by @northforsythvet

We wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to one of our sweetest friends and clients, Susan! 🥰

Susan has been a part of our NFAH family for nearly 10 years, and we’ve also had the privilege of caring for her sweet fur babies along the way. 🐶🐱❤️

We truly appreciate your kind heart and how you are always thinking about us. You mean more to us than you know. 🥹💕

Thank you especially for this sweet treat this week! It was exactly what we all needed, and we can’t wait to enjoy it for months to come!❤️ by @northforsythvet
