This summer, @elev8_gc in North Liberty opened this summer, and that might not have been possible without funding from the North Liberty Targeted Economic Development Grant Program.

With the grant funding, owner Dillon Baker was able to open a standalone store with top-of-the-line amenities, such as an elevated putting green, performance and workout center, and new golf simulators.

Located on Penn Street, Dillon and Elev8 are excited to welcome the community this fall and continue growing in North Liberty. by @northliberty

Midwest Audiology, a locally owned, independent business, opened in North Liberty in two years ago. It recently benefitted from the North Liberty Targeted Economic Grant Program.

With funding from the program, Midwest Audiology was able to expand their office space, allowing them to see more patients daily and expand their footprint in the city. by @northliberty

It's time to take a moment to give a BIG shout-out and thank you to our amazing aquatic staff for a safe and fun-filled summer!

The lifeguard team worked hard all summer to keep our pools safe through consistent training and constant vigilance.

The swim instructors brought the energy and excitement to every lesson. The team loved seeing the growth and progress of swimmers throughout the summer.

The concession and admission staff greeted patrons with smiles and positive energy every day, making each pool visit a little sunnier.

The city's pools would not run smoothly without this incredible team. Thanks to them for their hard work, positivity, and dedication. Hope everyone enjoyed summer pool time! by @northliberty

The Englert is thrilled to introduce a new venue for us! 🎤 Hy-Vee Amphitheater at Centennial Park is a large outdoor concert space perfect for laying out a blanket or some chairs and listening to great music. 😎 We're excited to partner with the City of North Liberty for two concerts next weekend.

On Friday 9/11, get ready for Are You Ready For It? An Taylor Experience. This cover band brings the Eras Tour to you, complete with costume changes and your favorite Swift songs.🪩 Bring your Swiftie fans for a singalong concert outside!

On Sunday 9/13, come out to see the Gin Blossoms, the legendary band from Arizona. 🌵 For fans of alternative rock and college radio, this band is a staple.

More info can be found at englert.org or northlibertyiowa.org/shows. We'll see you there! by @northliberty

This summer, J & A Tap expanded with a new outdoor patio thanks to the money provided by the North Liberty Targeted Economic Development Grant Program through the City of North Liberty and Greater Iowa City, Inc.

With the financial assistance and some guidance, J & A Tap owner Amanda Lynn-Hruby and her husband, John, added, for the first time, an outdoor location where J & A Tap customers can sit, have a drink, and enjoy a meal. The new patio was a benefit over the summer, bringing in new customers as J & A approaches its 20th anniversary. by @northliberty

Micromobility devices are popular modes of transportation because they’re cheaper, easier to park, and better for the environment than cars and trucks, and accessible transportation for younger people. Some of these vehicles require registration through the State of Iowa, and some don’t, but they all have some restrictions on their use. Here are some safety and etiquette reminders for these fun-and-popular devices. by @northliberty
