Roming Wolf in Rhyl have leveled up their fried chicken offerings recently but launching a few new additions to their popular fried chicken menu 🙌

Charlie and Keira pride themselves on using homemade gluten free fried chicken over at the @queensmarketrhyl. And it's by far the best fried chicken in North Wales.

Highlights include their new garlic & truffle parmesan loaded fries, and the Bird Box. We also highly recommend their Hot Honey fried chicken.

The Lobster Pot, Church Bay | Porth Swtan 🦞

ad. Established in 1946, this institution has been serving the seafood of these waters in Ynys Môn for generations.

Now back in family hands, the restaurant continues a story that stretches across three generations of supplying seafood.

The local boats bring in lobster, crab and other tasty sea finds, and Chef Steff shapes the menu based on the seasonal catches.

We managed to grab a table before the end of the lobster season, and enjoyed a delicious Welsh pot caught grilled lobster with garlic & parsley butter with a side of fries, and a Church Bay crab Arancini to start. taken in Church Bay, Anglesey by @northwalesgrub

We’re bringing you a very special burger night at Blue Sky, and if you’re a burger fan, you’re not going to want to miss this one.

Blue Sky is home to some of the best burgers in North Wales, so it felt like it was time to organise a night dedicated to them. 🙌

The chefs will be showcasing local and homemade produce, including Welsh beef and their insanely good homemade buns, alongside a selection of local craft beers on tap.

The finishing touches are still being made to the menu, but I can already give you a sneak peek at the Beef & Ale Burger pictured. Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and happy to announe that it’s making an appearance on the night.

A day of eating in Criccieth, thanks to TrawsCymru!🍴

ad. To celebrate Catch The Bus month, I hopped on the T2 and explored the historical town on the Llyn Peninsula, and ate some delicious food along the way.

We went back to a hotel we stayed at a few years ago, and honestly barely recognised it.

This time we came back for dinner again, and the transformation is incredible. A total refurbish has brought contemporary design through every room, styled by Nicola Harding. The whole hotel is rooted in its location, from Welsh blankets to Welsh artwork celebrating local icons.

The bar was once the old billiards room and still has the original mahogany panelling, ornate ceiling mouldings and huge fireplace, now paired with a bold modern colour palette that somehow feels like it was always meant to be there. We had cocktails here before heading in for the tasting menu, led by chef Dan, who previously head cheffed at sister restaurant the Michelin starred Beach House, in Oxwich.

The eight course tasting menu is a proper celebration of Welsh produce, with the menu showing exactly where each ingredient was sourced. Highlights included Welsh wagyu, Barmouth lobster caught just up the road, wild turbot with Exmoor caviar and Welsh mountain hogget with a rich glossy gravy.

The producers behind the menu are just as impressive. Hafod cheddar comes from Holden Farm Dairy at Bwlchwernen Fawr, Wales’ longest-certified organic dairy farm, while the Welsh Wagyu is ethically reared in Oswestry. Hen Gymro is a Welsh heritage grain, milled at the restored Talgarth Mill in the Brecon Beacons. The Barmouth lobster was caught by Glen Barnish aboard the Debra Jayne, following the Mawddach estuary out to sea, and the Welsh mountain hogget came from T J Roberts of Bala. Even the wild raspberries were foraged from around the hotel.

If a full tasting menu feels like too much, there’s a 3 course à la carte option, or Sunday lunch here is just as good and well worth the trip on its own. We managed to sneak that in too, before we left.

If you are anywhere near Dolgellau in North Wales, this luxury boutique hotel needs to be on your list, whether you are staying, dining or both.

A Piaggio serving gelato by the sea - Cariad Gelato, Cricieth

@cariadgelato's charming ice cream truck run by David brings Italian-style gelato to Criccieth, situated on the Beachbank. The truck pops up here during the warmer months, serving scoops with the sea just a few steps away.
