Coming home to this made my day. ❤️ I’m so grateful for my family and friends — my village who have gotten me through these past two weeks and will continue to be there for the weeks ahead.

A small kitchen fire left my hand and arm with some pretty bad burns, but angels were definitely looking over me and our house that day. 🙏🏼

The NUMC Burn Unit was incredible, and after surgery, I’m finally on the road to recovery. A few more weeks ahead, but this could have been so much worse. Feeling very blessed to have the people I do. ❤️

Somehow the little girl who once walked through those elementary school doors holding my hand is growing up right before my eyes. 🥹🤍✨

I can’t believe this was the last first day of elementary school. How?! She was just 5 yesterday, and now it’s the first day of 5th grade!

I can’t wait to see all the fun, fearless, and beautiful things happen for Kay and all her friends this year.

God’s Country…that’s what my Dad calls upstate.

Every year since I was baby John’s age, we’ve gone here to camp as a family. Friends and family gather and we all reset around a campfire. No phone service. Just time together.

I am always proud of my girl, but today I was SO happy for her and her team. ❤️🥎

She has worked so hard for this moment. From being a catcher and still catching to Mom and Dad I want to be pitcher. She has put in all the work and earned every opportunity she’s gotten.

But what makes me the proudest is the teammate she is. She’s always cheering for her teammates, celebrating their successes, and picking them up when they need it.

Watching these girls go undefeated has been so much fun. They didn’t get here by luck. They earned every second of it through hard work, dedication, and believing in each other. Thank you coaches!
