Hi bookish community!
I have a new banner so I thought it might be a good time to re-introduce myself to anyone new to my page!

My name is Ally, I’m a 29yr old book lover from Australia. I’ve loved reading since I was a child, and as an adult it’s evolved into an addiction! My book collection is entirely out of hand and my TBR taller than me 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I’m not reading, I’m working as a nurse to pay off my reading habit and special edition collection. I love my job, but, given the opportunity would immediately quit and open a bookstore! I read anything but my favourite genre’s are romance, fantasy and romantasy.

I love to meet new people and chat books so please feel free to engage with my posts, tag me in things or send me a DM. Nothing makes me happier than talking books to other bookish friends!

Pink 🌸💕Wednesday
Can we take a moment to appreciate a sweet romance novel?? Sometimes all I’m in the mood to do is read a cute, classic romance. Give me allll the tropes, I want enemies to lovers, fake dating, forbidden love, ALL OF IT. I’m feral for a book that has me kicking my feet and squealing.
Don’t get me wrong I’m a big romantasy fan but sometimes nothing hits the spot like a small town romance, am I right?? What are your fav tropes in a romance read?

Spring Book Bouquet - 🌹🥀Rose edition
The final flower in my sweet little bookish bouquet.
Loving the vibrant reds in this spread 😍
It makes me think of Christmas, I can’t wait for some festive reads this year!

I’m currently in Melbourne at a conference and it’s rainy, cold and a bit miserable! Any recommendations for some indoor activities would be much appreciated 😅

I’ve been savouring Threshing Day, reading one POV at a time and drawing it out as long as possible 😅😅 I also secured a ticket to a fabulous ACOTAR release party 😱 so excited!

Happy Threshing Day to those who celebrate 🐉
I’ve just started reading and I’m already obsessed. I’m just so happy to be back at Basgiath, it’s been far too long. Can’t wait to add my physical copy to my Fourth Wing shelf when it arrives 😍

🌷Sunday Shelfie 🌷

I finally got around to finishing my embroidery and sorting the ever growing pile of books😂 I’ll consider that a successful weekend! Colour is taking over my shelves and I’m obsessed 😍 I’m happy to have moved my gorgeous @atheirloombooks Off Campus set out of the pile and onto the shelves, peep their stunning sprayed edges 😍
I’m loving being able to display my craft alongside my books, all things that bring me so much joy.
I’m currently reading Magic Lessons by Alice Hoffman and gearing up for the release of Threshing Day 😱😱 beyond excited to get immersed back in the world of the Empyrean series, it’s been too long!!

I watched the Love Hypothesis this weekend and it was so so good! I absolutely loved the casting. What a year for book lovers!? Still so much bookish content to look forward to for the rest of the year, most notably the new ACOTAR release!

Another spring flower for my bookish bouquet 💐

Also ties in nicely with a little Monday Blues post 💙
Loving this sweet little blue stack with some amazing reads😍 some of my fav romance authors are here!

My current book bouquet has sunflowers, wisteria and bluebells- I don’t know how well those go together 😅 but they’re all gorgeous flowers!

Currently about to start reading Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth and listening to The Empress by KC Cast on audio. Having a Gilmore Girls rewatch too which has made me so nostalgic 😍

What are your go to reads/watches for some nostalgia?

Spring flower bouquet 🌻🌻sunflower edition🌻🌻

Sunflowers are one of my absolute favourites, I challenge anyone to be sad when looking at a beautiful, bright sunflower!

Yellow books make me just as happy! They brighten my shelves and bring joy to anyone who looks at them!
Some of my favourite reads here, obviously the Off Campus series goes down as a huge favourite, along with Chestnut Springs!
Some gorgeous Abbey Jimenez and @christinalauren 😍
And my fav book from Katherine Centre (so far, I’m still gonna reading journey with her novels!)

Spring flower spread 💜🪻Wisteria Edition💜🪻
I thought it would be sweet to create a bookish spring flower bouquet with a different flower a day!
Today’s flower is a beautiful wisteria, I love these flowers (and yes I know that emoji is not a wisteria 😅there isn’t one!)
I just adore my purple books, not enough covers are purple and we must change this! They always look stunning on my shelves, it doesn’t hurt that purple is my favourite colour 😂
I’ve just finished Nine Month Contract by Amy Dawes and it was such a cute read 😍 about to start Honeymoon Phase, loving some mountain man energy! Then it will be on to Next In Line which I was lucky enough to receive as a BOTM from @romanceanz 💜

I’m getting the urge to restyle my shelves again! I know I’ll have instant regret as soon as I take everything off them 😅

I’m currently reading some @amydawsauthor and also listening to an audio of one of her books! Will be starting the Practical Magic series after that.
