what did nosurf fest 2025 feel like? this.

it’s hard to put into words the emotions, energy, passion, and effort that go into something so close to our hearts.

we’re a DIY festival. building community is our passion. showcasing up-and-coming indie and electronic talent is what we set out to bring you here for.

everyone on the nosurf and @hotbed.us team has had the date ‘august 23’ burned into their minds since the start of the year.

this festival took months of planning and countless late nights. every thought, every decision, every action made by a few people who really wanted to make this happen for san diego.

why?

because this is the experience we’ve been searching for. and when we couldn’t find it, we decided to build it so we could share it with you, in the pit or on the dance floor, in support of ocean conservation.

endless thanks to @ryder.schwartz for capturing these moments so beautifully, and to everyone who showed up and made this day what it was.

@rio.kosta thursday 8/20 at music box.

mike del rio + kosta galanopoulos met at a soundcheck in 2018. a few years later they got baked at 2am during the pandemic and started making music together.

now they’ve played outside lands, and next month they’re opening arenas across north america and europe for jungle.

somewhere between all that, we got them for a very good thursday in san diego.

she needed a visa to stay in the country after college. so she skipped class, flew to LA, and built @injiverse behind her parents’ backs.

lollapalooza paris. berlin. outside lands. osheaga. billboard dance rookie of the month.

she said no to every label. we said come to san diego.

this saturdaaay - emerging indie rock showcase at the casbah in downtown san diego from 8 PM TO 12 AM

we’re shrinking a festival into casbah.

six bands. two stages.
one outside. one exactly where it’s supposed to be.

dark room. low ceilings. drinks in hand.
bumping into each other without fookin spilling.

february 28.
almost sold out.
