🌽 THE FIELD OF GTR DREAMING 🔰

For Steven, it’s always been about cars. The obsession started early — first project at 12 years old, a 1963 Holden stripped down and rebuilt in the backyard, mostly solo. That Holden still sits in his garage today, a reminder of where it all began.

Like many 90’s kids, Fast & Furious kicked off the JDM love affair, and what better hero car than a GTR?

Steven’s R33 GT-R has a bit of history behind it. Originally bought from a mate, it had that full early 2000s energy — tri-spoke wheels, stock ride height, the usual. He eventually let it go to fund a house, but that decision didn’t sit right. Two years ago, he tracked it back down and bought it again. No way it was slipping through his hands twice.

Since then, the car’s been brought into the modern day with a clean OEM+ focus. It now sits static on Öhlins coilovers, wearing a set of timeless Rays Volk 21Cs. A Nismo 400R front bar with a Series 3 lip sets off the exterior, matched by Nismo touches inside — the classic white cluster and steering wheel combo keeping it period-correct with flair.

Under the hood, it’s all business: Tomei cams, HKS twin turbos and exhaust, ARC airbox, R35 coils, Haltech, and a full suite of supporting mods. A Wendlab CAN gauge replaces the factory clock — a slick detail only the eagle-eyed will notice.

But Steven’s not done. Plans are in motion for a tucked engine bay, a single turbo setup, and more OEM+ refinements. Because with a car like this — it never really ends.

This is more than just a build. It’s a full-circle story, from childhood wrenching to JDM dreams — and making good on them.
