There we go, the 1 year off is now complete! And what better way to bring it back is straight to the @yokomuki_uk show! I would like to thank everyone who has helped me along the way. Its rough round the edges and still needs some work but it'll do. I have missed driving this thing so much but now I get to enjoy my dream mx5 build, the dcuatro roadster. Although not all genuine however its exactly how I want it to look, a homage to the demo car but in my own image.
I also managed to make the engine bay a lot cleaner and presentable, I attempted an ITB settup however some things are just out of my depth and couldn't get the engine running so either way I was happy the end result.

Getting closer and closer to completion, fingers crossed it all comes together as planned.
Need to finish off painting the hardtop, fitting the kit and needs a clean & paint correction.

Update time!

I'm now 10 months into working on the car so now its about time I started getting the project done.

So far at the minute bodywork and paint is getting done, removed rust and sealed up.

So about the ITB settup, I completely gave up with it as couldn't get the car started, some things are out of my depth to be honest so gone back to stock intake and ECU.
However the initial goal was to get the engine bay cleaned and tidied up with interesting rare parts inside.

Volk Racing 370 FR aero disc/turbo fan, known to be the first wheel disc cover for Japan in the 1980s.

Luckily aquired this pair adding to the race inspired build compiling parts that have a form and function. Hopefully these are able to keep my brakes cool when going on track.
