Traveled to the bottom of the world for the most epic trip! We saw whales, penguins, penguin chicks, birds, seals, made two continental landings, camped overnight outside, attended great lectures, polar plunged, survived the Drake Passage and Drake Shake (twice!), made new friends on board, celebrated Christmas and New Year’s aboard the Roald Amundsen, and have so many amazing memories. Thank you to @accidentallywesanderson and @hxexpeditions for the trip of a lifetime! Here’s @1secondeveryday in Antarctica! 🐧🇦🇶🩵

And just like that, the Antarctica adventure is coming to a close. I truly don’t have words to express how grateful I am for having the opportunity and privilege to come here, to learn all the amazing facts about this beautiful place, what we need to do to continue protecting it and its wildlife, to experience the untamed wilderness, to be able to share this with my adventure partner for life, and meeting people who are now new friends. What a way to end 2025!!

This timeline is weird and taking breaks from social media are becoming more mandatory for me. But it’s honestly been a fun summer so here’s what I’ve been up to lately >>

Soaked up the final days at my club pool either working from there or going to just spend a day reading, being humbled by how hard swimming laps is, and chatting with neighbor friends! Already can’t wait until next season!

I went out to Denver to see two of my favorite humans @amberherself and @stickymrricky and met their friend group who are the coolest chicks around. Spent a day at the Eldorado Springs Resort, read books, had amazing food and of course: watched horror films as curated by Ricky. Quality time was had!

Got some good family and nephew time in this summer. The visits are always too quick but I cherish every second of them 🩵🩵

Took advantage of milder weather and enjoyed strolls through downtown Ann Arbor before the fall term started. We were graced with some beautiful skies this summer!

Celebrated 15 years married with my favorite human and best friend. Always an adventure and I’m so thankful and appreciate the time we can make for each other with the other busyness of life we both have 💞💞 #proofIhaveahusband

Need to make some lifestyle and health changes in my life (hooray getting older!) and started working with a local RD @alignedwellnessmi. Best decision I ever made. Chelsea is wonderful and has been a saint in helping navigate the intentional and small changes I need to start making. So thankful to her! 🫶🏽🫶🏽
Also joined a weekly produce box from Argus Farm! The poo poo worms and recalls are exhausting so I’m happy and grateful to support local farmers and eat fresh with confidence. 🌿🌿

Impromptu date night in Detroit to see Keanu slap some bass with his band Dogstar. They put on a fantastic rock show and this man is aging like a FOINE wine.

And finally: to end summer — went to NYC with @lenzvalerie (who’s never been) to celebrate her birthday early! A time was had. I love how every time I go to NYC I get to do and see something different. I also got to see two of my favorite friends (thanks for the hangs @danehillard!! 🫶🏽), see some family and had a lot of taken in End Of Summer by @notaleaf

Highlights of July 🧡

Became a member of our little club and it’s the best money spent on capitalism.

Took a chance and ended up having a perfect mid-70s day without smoke/air quality issues for some coaster therapy. Luckily my mild case of food poisoning came *after* this day.

A moment to appreciate a brunch spread.

Our little free library is finally open! And I’m a total snob already about maintaining it and curating it with great reads for my neighbors. 🤓

Incredible haul from the new Goodwill bookstore in town.

Book club with five of my favorite people.

A thoughtful gesture from my husband on a particularly bad day. Nothing some balsamic strawberry and a hug from him couldn’t fix. 🥰🍓

Went out to our little free library to add books and found these absolute gems in it!

This is why I refer to myself as The Spare. Still thrilled to be included in this wolf pack. #proofihaveahusband

This weekend has been perfect from the weather and sunshine to making the most of Ann Arbor downtown at the Zingerman’s garage sale and wandering through the farmers market to get dinner staples to visiting every library branch, and feeling pure joy, gratitude and happiness for the first time in a long time.
