i cried when i cut your cord and first held you in my arms
your first steps
your first words
my first born son

i love you more than i can express with words

a few birthdays have passed without me there
that’s on the timing, the system, the road i’ve had to take, not on how much i love you

i’m not asking you to feel sorry for any of it
i’m telling you because you deserve to know the truth, not an excuse.

i’m obsessively building something right now, so when we see each other again,

you’ll know our time apart was never wasted.

Happy Birthday Son.

I love you. by @notdeadyet.exe

@kahrion is a Chicago-born rapper bringing real-life emotion, ambition, and raw energy into his music. Coming from a city shaped by struggle, creativity, and pressure, Kahrion uses music as a way to tell his story, process what he’s been through, and connect with people who understand pain, growth, and survival. His sound blends street honesty with personal reflection, creating music that feels authentic, relatable, and rooted in real life.

A major turning point in Kahrion’s journey came after the loss of a very close friend to violence. That loss pushed him to look at life differently and motivated him to take a risk on music before it was too late. Instead of letting grief break him, Kahrion turned that pain into purpose, using his voice to honor the people he’s lost while building something meaningful for the future.

That purpose has already started leading him to bigger moments, including opening for Studio Shapes Fest’s second festival at Navy Pier. Being featured on that stage represents more than just a performance — it marks a step forward in his growth as an artist and his willingness to bet on himself. Mentored by @renzell.wav , the owner of @studioshapeschi , Kahrion continues to sharpen his craft, develop his sound, and grow his presence in Chicago’s music scene.

As a soon-to-be father, Kahrion now carries an even deeper reason behind everything he does. His drive is no longer just about chasing a dream — it’s about creating a legacy, building stability, and becoming someone his child can look up to. Outside of music, Kahrion also runs his own construction company and started his own brand/clothing line, Troop, showing his work ethic, creativity, and commitment to building something real from the ground up. With Chicago behind him, fatherhood ahead of him, and his pain transformed into motivation, Kahrion is focused on becoming a stronger artist, man, and provider while creating music that reflects who he is, what he’s survived, and where he’s going.

Buena Vista isn’t just named for a good view — it carries one. Overlooking the river in Algonquin, this small family-owned Mexican restaurant represents the view of a father’s dream, a mother’s dedication, and a son continuing the legacy they built together. What began with a husband and wife coming to America and working to create something for their children has grown into a local restaurant rooted in tradition, family, and authentic Mexican flavor. The Algonquin location was the father’s favorite, and today Jose carries that love forward, keeping the family’s story alive one plate at a time.
Jose, carries the restaurant forward as more than a business, but as a tribute to his parents, his family, and the generations that came before him. taken in Buena Vista Restaurant by @notdeadyet.exe

@k.bear6 is a 27-year-old professional boxer from the Garfield Park neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side. He first stepped into the boxing gym at just 8 years old, and from that moment, the sport became more than something he did — it became a part of who he is.

With over 110 amateur fights, Kyron built his foundation through years of discipline, sacrifice, and experience. Every round, every setback, and every victory helped shape him into the fighter he is today. After dedicating much of his life to the craft, he made the transition into the professional ranks, where he now holds 7 professional fights.

For Kyron, boxing is bigger than competition. It is a reflection of where he comes from, what he has survived, and the people he represents. Coming from Garfield Park, he carries the heart, toughness, and resilience of Chicago with him every time he enters the ring. His journey is built on hard work, loyalty to the sport, and a lifelong commitment to proving that greatness can come from anywhere.

Today, Kyron Brown continues to honor Chicago’s rich boxing tradition while building a legacy of his own — one fight, one round, and one moment at a time.

- June, 20th the talk is over. @k.bear6 will be throwing it all down in the ring over at the Hammond Sportsplex.

@recoechi is not here to fit into the system. His music comes from frustration, survival, and the refusal to stay quiet while corruption runs everything.

At Studio Shapes Fest, that message came alive. Closing out the show alongside @nicosegal , Recoechi turned the moment into something bigger than a performance — it became like a statement.

Government, corporations, greed, control and mass surveillance— the message is clear: people were never meant to be powerless.

Supporting Recoechi is supporting more than music. Its standing with a movement against corruption, against silence, and against every machine built to keep people in line. #chicago #navypier #revolutionary taken in Navy Pier by @notdeadyet.exe

KrispyxChris is a Chicago-born DJ, producer and content creator bringing high-energy riddim to the underground bass scene. Born and raised in Chicago with family roots from Guanajuato, Mexico, KrispyxChris carries culture, individuality, and raw energy into everything he creates.

Before stepping behind the decks, he built his world through gaming, streaming, and content creation, developing a love for fast-paced energy, creativity, and community. That same energy eventually pulled him into riddim, where he found more than just music — he found a scene that helped him grow beyond social anxiety and connect with people who embrace being different.

His journey as a performer started with the same fearless energy he brings to his sets. On a whim, KrispyxChris saw an opportunity to perform at Greenline’s pop-up at Ms. Eggrolls in Chicago and decided to take the chance. He stepped up, played his set with everything he had, and brought so much energy to the spot that the cops ended up getting called — a moment that showed exactly what he brings to the underground: chaos, passion, and a crowd-moving presence that cannot be ignored.

As a DJ and producer, KrispyxChris is drawn to the art of mixing, chopping, and reworking sounds into something new. After producing on and off for the past year, he continues to develop his sound by putting his own twist on the shows, anime, games, and influences that shaped him. His style blends heavy riddim energy, sharp chops, playful references, and a personal creative edge that keeps evolving with every track and set.

KrispyxChris is set to bring that same energy to Construction Rave at Bass Station in Waukegan, Illinois on Saturday, June 13, 2026, performing alongside names including SKAMR, Debstep, 82B, 2T, DEX, KIBUH, and RIPTO. For him, every show is more than a performance — it is a chance to connect with the underground community that gave him confidence, purpose, and a place to belong. #riddim #chicago #music taken in Miss.EggRoll by @notdeadyet.exe

Kid Copter is a Chicago-based rock group built from different backgrounds, different hometowns, and a shared love for loud, colorful, offbeat music. Made up of Charlie Hoax, Jack Charlatan, Don Calypso, and Sham V, the band blends rock & roll energy with playful storytelling, theatrical characters, and a self-aware sense of humor.

The name “Kid Copter” comes from a nickname given to the group’s main singer, a name that eventually grew into the identity of the band itself. What started as an inside joke became a full creative world: part band, part character, part chaotic superhero story. Their music often feels like it belongs in its own universe, filled with strange scenes, sharp lyrics, big personalities, and a sound that jumps between indie rock, punk attitude, funk, and raw live-band energy.

Kid Copter’s debut album in Actionville introduced listeners to that world with songs full of character-driven writing, humor, and unpredictable turns. Since then, the group has continued building momentum with singles and projects like One Missed Call, Oxford Blues, Let The Good Folks Know, Weedtown, and their 2026 album Mr. Tough Guy & The Greenlight Cruise.

At its core, Kid Copter is a band about personality. Their music is catchy, funny, and energetic without trying to fit neatly into one box. Whether they are playing with fictional characters, wild stories, or straight-up rock grooves, Kid Copter stands out as a group with its own language, its own mythology, and a name that feels impossible to forget. taken in Bookclub by @notdeadyet.exe
