Cheers ☕️ The best thing about N2P is the folx who show up for themselves, for each other, and for the work. We held a very impromptu Networkshop this week (those are our workshop-meets-networking events), and these are the lovely folx who came ’round for a cup of tea and a chat. N2P is built on: ☑️ mutual accountability 🫂 peer support ➡️ lateral networking This week was no different; artists making space for each other, sharing what they’re working on, swapping ideas, asking questions, and helping move the work forward. It was a nice reminder that you don’t need a huge crowd or to have paid over the odds - a handful of willing and generous people, a few cups of tea, and a really good conversation are plenty. That’s what we love about N2P ☕️✨ See y’all next time… by @nothingtoperform
Spent six days this summer pulling Henry IV apart in a room full of chairs. (And still sat on the floor.. ) 🪑👑 The play is already obsessed with transformation, alcohol, fathers and children, resentment, shame, forgiveness, relapse into old identities, and whether we can change and still be loved. I’m obsessed with the people in these pictures, Lady Percy’s monologue, directing Shakespeare, and using theatre as a force for identification. So we tried looking at Hal, Hotspur, Falstaff, King Henry and Lady Percy through 12-step recovery: people still suffering, people who have recovered, dry drunks, qualifiers, people stuck at Step One, and the wives, fathers, kings and mates indiscriminately affected by the heart-wrenching disease of addiction. We spent the week stage fighting (something else I’m obsessed with), sharing, translating, sitting in circles, improvising, devising, soul-searching, and moving. So Henry XII was born. It’s still very much in development, but there’s definitely something here. Huge love to everyone who came into the room and helped me find it. Most especially Kristin Winters; an old friend, an inspiring collaborator, a hype woman, a fucking breathtaking Hal - a muse. More soon… 💙 Adaptor/Director: @harriet_taylor Fight Director/Hotspur: Scott Howland Hal: @kristinbwinters Falstaff: @jackparrisd King Henry: @ellacumber Poins: @olivertiagofranks Lady Percy: @liis.mikk Producers: @nothingtoperform @boundbytheatre 📸: @markspxrz by @nothingtoperform
✨ N2P’s July Networkshop: LANDSCAPES ✨ with Rishi Rian 🌿📝 📅 Tuesday July 21, 6:30–9:30pm 📍 Walworth Town Hall, SE17 1RS 👥 All welcome 💸 FREE What does a character’s inner world look like? This month’s Networkshop explores character through writing and movement, working from the idea that every character possesses an internal landscape. A landscape might be sparse or densely populated. It might be shaped by memory, cluttered with significant objects, filled with bodies of water, or defined by horizons stretching into the future. Through free-writing exercises and movement practices, we’ll explore how a character’s inner world influences behaviour, rhythm, relationships, and story. Together, we’ll aim to find embodiments that feel rich, detailed, and exploratory. No pressure to perform. No right answers. Just a room full of people exploring together. Whether you’re an actor, writer, director, or simply curious about process, we’d love to have you there 🤍 You’ll need something to write with/on, movement clothes, and a character to study. To apply, email n2pnetworkshops@gmail.com and we’ll get back to you ASAP to confirm your place. About Rishi: Rishi Rian (he/him) is an actor, facilitator, and poet. He is interested in world-building as a tool for artistic exploration, with a particular focus on how atmosphere shapes character, rhythm, and story. His recent screen and stage work includes Murder on the Orient Express (UK Tour), Winter (ITV), and Elsinore (Studio Canal). He works as a freelance facilitator with Shakespeare’s Globe, The Old Vic, and the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. by @nothingtoperform
We 💚💙🧡Actors A big thank you to the actors who joined us for our latest readings at @thelondonfilmschool. Reading a script that’s still finding its feet is a particular skill. Good actors don’t just perform the words on the page — they help writers hear what they’ve actually written. They spot opportunities, ask the right questions, and often unlock things nobody saw coming. It was a pleasure spending the day in Covent Garden with the MA Screenwriters, hearing new work out loud and watching these scripts take on a whole new life in the room ☕️🎬📑 We’re looking forward to seeing where the next drafts end up. In the meantime... ➡️ Working on a script and want to hear it with professional actors? Get in touch. ➡️ If you’re an actor and we haven’t met yet, come along to a Networkshop. We’d love to see you there. ▶️ Casting a project? We know some excellent people. ▶️ Curious about new writing? Keep an eye on the work coming out of London Film School. 💙 by @nothingtoperform

Will they be gone too? A single mum, two feuding pre-teens, and their gran. When Grandmother takes a fall, she is hastily moved to a care home she doesn’t want to be in, surrounded by other elderly people longing for comfort and missing home.
