Theo went to doggy heaven today.

Dog’s are the ocean’s waves - consistent, rhythmic and beautiful no matter the world around them.

The responsibilities I feared when I adopted Theo - early morning and late night walks, the clean up, the taking care of - became my favorite moments of the day. The joy dogs feel from existing, the constant positivity, the absolute loyalty - it’s infectious. Loving and care outside yourself is life’s purpose.

Dogs are magic.

Theo taught me the little moments are the best moments. Theo was a complete lunatic weirdo and I loved him. Attacking my friends, barking at the door, his strange waddle. Driving in the car together. Dog friendships and dog rivalries at the park. Theo taught me the journey is the reward.

The pandemic was very difficult for me. I had a lot of change and disappointment and didn’t handle isolation well. So many days I thought - why even get out of bed?

The responsibility and love I felt to give Theo his walk, the daily appreciation and energy he made me feel…dogs, man.

My best friend. My companion. My little weirdo.

The inevitability of death creates the beauty of the experience.

I believe in God, I believe in heaven and dogs are one of the reasons why. I love you Theo and I know one day I will see you again. ❤️ by @notjackdavis

6 years ago these friendships changed my life. You are who you surround yourself with. The brilliance and success of these guys constantly leaves me in awe and makes me want to reach higher and work harder so I can maybe one day compare to them. I’m not sure if we are your typical Vegas crew (not a super edgy group of guys) but man I feel so lucky when we get together. And we are all betting big on the birds. by @notjackdavis

You don't get to chose your family but if you could there's not 4 people on earth I'd rather pick. Can't believe my baby sister goes to college tomorrow!! Counting down the days until we will all be back together. by @notjackdavis

The older I get the more I respect and stand in awe of what my dad's been able to accomplish, but really I just think about how lucky I am because this guy is a great DAD. He's my hero, he's my role model. Still to this day I never know if it was a good day at work or a bad day at work for him because he comes home full of such love and enthusiasm for me and my sisters... he made sure we knew that WE were his first priority, not work. I see now that he's willingly sacrificed reaching that next level of success as a worker so he could reach that next level of success as a father and husband. So it means a lot to me to see him earning some much deserved recognition for his incredible achievements, but I know it means much more to me than him and that's why I love and admire him so much. All I wanna do is grow up and be like my dad...even though I'm much closer to being at his hair level than his success level. Love you dad, go see JOY Instagram friends. by @notjackdavis
