Words cant describe how great of an experience this week and a half was. I thank God for letting me come back as an intern and entrusting me to steward and pour into others this week and equipping them to see their sport as a privilege and platform for God, not an idol that runs the course of their life.

This week was truly a glimpse of heaven! Im so glad that I was able to meet so many people from all walks of life. Shoutout to my intern class who became my family in such a short amount of time but felt like i knew y’all all of my life! Everyone here is such a blessing to my life and I thank y’all for allowing and encouraging me to be me! Seeing so many people on fire for Christ in the same space is so inspiring!

God, I thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for our sins for experiences like @theultimatetrainingcamp and constantly pruning me into the leader that you want me to with who I need around me and constantly making me new each and every day!

This week changed my life! God used this camp to show me that my value is not in basketball or athletic ability, but it is in HIM. He is my audience of 1.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” - Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So grateful for UTC and all the people that I was able to build lifelong, equally yoked relationships with!

This experience and carrying that cross up Golgotha showed me just a glimpse of how Jesus suffered for us to give us eternal life. He paid the price for you!

30 Days, No Social Media, No Phones.

Just some guys in the middle of nowhere Arkansas who love Jesus and want to crush sin.

The Lord truly moved mountains in my life this past month. There is no better feeling than walking in the light, embrace biblical masculinity, and being bold as a lion for Christ. This was the most refining and transformational experience that I’ve had; living in an RV in the middle of the woods with no electricity sure does give you appreciation for the little things in life that we take for granted. Having no contact with the outside world showed me how much we miss what God wants to do in our lives because we’re so consumed with our phones and social media, needing this constant stimulation of the brain. Godly dopamine is the best dopamine! Here I found freedom. A type of freedom that can make you jump off a cliff in a lake, a type of freedom that makes you hold some crazy snakes, a freedom that makes you confess something you never shared before, and a type of freedom that allows you to tell a stranger the worst thing you’ve ever done while evangelizing. Never thought I would do half of the things I did here but the Lord did, it was already written. There is freedom and victory in the name of Jesus.

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬ ‭

A couple truths that stuck with me over these 30 days:

“A real man makes everyone’s life around him better.”

“A wise man knows his enemy.”

“Beg the Lord to be the guy that advances His will.”

“You are loved by a love that never began and you’re loved by a love that will never end.”

“The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭121‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭

UTC ‘26!

JOY! None of this was possible without the Lord! Throughout this week God taught me how to lean on the Holy Spirit’s strength alone because He is present with us on this earth and lives inside of us!

I had a blast being an emcee and working alongside other members of the body of Christ to be vessels for God’s kingdom!

Most importantly, it was amazing seeing 230+ athletes experience the love of Jesus, cultivate a relationship with Him, and have fellowship with Him!

Growing up in a christian household going to church was a non-negotiable for my family. Both of my parents being heavily involved in different growth groups within the church, they slowly immersed me into Sunday school and the choir. Through those experiences, I only got a glimpse of who God is and what Jesus did for me through various different biblical stories ranging from the story of Joseph to Jonah and the whale. While these experiences are core memories of my life, at that young age, I never truly grasped what knowing God in his fullness actually looked like.

As time went on and continued to live my own way through middle school, high school, and my first two years in college, I was exposed to the brokenness of the world because of sin. Whether it was drinking, smoking, sexual immorality, hanging with the wrong crowd, etc. Whatever I could get my hands on, I either did it or I was around it. Sin became normal to me. To continue to fill this void in my heart, I ran to seek love through a relationship that only expanded that void.

When this relationship ended I was very hurt, confused, and discouraged. But God knew that this ending would be a new beginning to my relationship with Him. In the midst of the pain, God was making himself evident to me, through old friends I hadn’t talked to in years, sermons online, and bible verses I saw throughout the day. These things ultimately drove me back to the church where I first met Him.

A quote that changed my life forever from one of the sermons at church was: “Be honest, raw, and vulnerable with the Lord when you pray because that’s the you he wants.” At home with my door shut, I prayed about everything that was on my mind and heart. My feelings about my past relationship, how I was angry at God, and why was this happening to me. As I continued ranting to the Lord in tears, laying everything at His feet and in His hands, I felt the emotional and spiritual weight being lifted off of me in that moment. I felt the void in my heart being healed the right way.

This transformative experience pushed me to get know God for who He actually is and not who I wanted Him to be, whether it was through.. (cont in comment) by @notjperk
