Finalist van Humo’s Rock Rally 2024. En terecht. Het Antwerps quartet Those Who Didn’t heeft dan ook een stevige live-reputatie. Strak, noisy, eclectisch, weemoedig en weer terug. Geen nood aan lyrics trouwens. ’t Verhaal is puur instrumentaal immers ijzersterk. Luister alvast naar het debuut-album 'Maybe Next Year' dat in april verscheen. Met ontvlambare songs als 'Your Defeatism is Sexy' en ‘Arsonist' en invloeden van ondermeer Fugazi en Mogwai weet je dat dit een intense knaller gaat worden.

FROG! gooit krautrock, postrock, stoner, punk en psychedelica in de blender. Songs die schipperen tussen psychedelisch uitgesponnen en punky in your face. ’t Kan allemaal én ’t blijft heel de tijd boeien. Op 29 august verscheen trouwens de 'Live In Brussels’-ep. Een rauwe, instrumentale brok, zoals deze Mechelse band ‘m graag serveert. Ongezouten en gloeiend heet!

27 NOVEMBER | Het Bos Club presents: FROG!, La Jungle, Swells

We’re bringing you a night of raw intensity, hypnotic grooves, and genre-bending experimentation. Three acts from Belgium’s underground scene unite for an evening that flows from krautrock to noise, from post punk to psychedelic journeys, each carving their own path while pulling us into soundscapes both visceral and transcendental.

FROG! is a four-piece heavy instrumental band hailing from Mechelen. Their sound stretches across krautrock, spacerock, postrock, punk, and the 70’s psychedelic experience, always urgent, always evolving. In August, they released Live in Brussels, a raw EP recorded at Pilar, capturing the untamed energy of their live shows. Tracks like “BEAK” and “Never Made an Igloo,” honed through years of rehearsal and performance, embody their relentless pursuit of sonic transformation.

From Mons, La Jungle is a relentless techno/kraut/noise duo that has performed over 600 shows worldwide since 2013. With six studio albums and countless releases behind them, Jim and Roxie channel compulsive loops, hypnotic sequences, and throbbing grooves into explosive live sets. At once chaotic and precise, their sound morphs from krautrock epics to noise-driven trance, sometimes plunging into oriental doom or metallic diversions without warning.

Emerging from Antwerp, Swells surge with a distinctive blend of post-punk, art rock, and prog. Their sound oscillates between raw and danceable, layered and immersive. Built around the chemistry of Casper Boone (drums), Loïs Pluymers (sax, vocals), Pierre Marneffe (guitar), and Bram De Laet (bass, guitar, vocals), Swells have already left their mark at Doel Festival and across Belgium’s café circuit. Now, they’re ready to flood their hometown once more with tidal waves of sound.
