We’re pleased to announce the release of NOTON Himekuri Calendar and Notebook for 2027.

N×018 . NOTON HIMEKURI CALENDAR 2027
A tear-off calendar blending Japanese, Chinese, and Western astrological information with important astronomical and historical data. Limited to 250 copies.

N×019 . NOTON HIMEKURI NOTEBOOK 2027
A notebook with a 380 g/m² cardboard sheet featuring ruled lines and scales in both centimeters and inches, with matte lamination on both sides for a better writing surface. Limited to 100 copies.

Both measure approx. 16.5 × 11 cm and were crafted at a traditional Japanese printing house with years of expertise.

Voice on Track 07 by Emma Maeda; text from Rainer Maria Rilke’s Primal Sound (1919). All 12 Conversations have been created in November-December 2022. The number following the track title refers to the original tracks released on Ryuichi Sakamoto’s album 12. A Japanese edition is also available on @skmtgram’s @commmons_official.

Audiophile cinematic experience of Ryuichi Sakamoto | Opus, enhanced with Geithain loudspeakers used for Sakamoto’s 2009 world piano tour.

On Saturday, 26 September, the screening will be followed by a conversation with Alva Noto on Sakamoto’s work, their collaboration and his approach to sound.

We are happy to reveal our first event on September 9th, during Berlin Art Week! NOTON presents its latest releases: ALVA NOTO – XERROX VOL. 5, NOTO – ∞ ENDLESS LOOP COLOR EDITION AND ALVA NOTO + RYUICHI SAKAMOTO – V.I.R.U.S. BOX SET, together with a selection of archival releases tracing the label’s history, and a new installation by Carsten Nicolai.

The exhibition returns to questions that have long occupied the artist: the relationship between nature and architecture, between sound and space, between precise structure and intuitive expression. Rather than presenting a set of works, he builds an environment, one to be experienced at each visitor’s own pace. Still taking shape, it leaves much deliberately open.

Relive ‘HYBR:ID UNI PARA’, an audiovisual performance by Carsten Nicolai aka Alva Noto, at M+.

For the first time, the artist and electronic music pioneer traded his usual indoor ‘black cube’ venue for an open-air stage under the museum’s post-industrial architecture.

The performance merged meticulous sound design with real-time algorithmic visualisations, as well as the ambient atmosphere of a night. As Nicolai noted, his goal was to deliver a sensory sphere where ‘everybody can travel in their own kind of universe.

重溫卡斯滕尼古拉（藝名：Alva Noto）於M+的視聽演出「HYBR:ID UNI PARA」。

這位藝術家兼電子音樂先鋒打破了一貫在「黑盒子」室內空間表演的慣例，首次移師到充滿後現代工業風的博物館戶外演出。

表演將細緻的音響設計與即時演算法影像融合，亦與晚上的氛圍相互呼應。正如尼古拉所言，他的目標是打造一個感官領域，「讓每個人都能在屬於自己的天地裏遨遊」。
