“WISH (daddy)” marks NOTPUMBAA’s second release on Gulli Gang Records and is a pretty accurate example of what he calls Stornobounce.

The idea behind the track was simple: keep it moving, keep it minimal and don’t interrupt the energy just for the sake of adding another big break.

Built around a recurring female vocal sample that gets heavily chopped in parts, the whole thing is being kept raw, repetitive and direct. Later on, a stripped-back call-and-response melody comes in, supported by a heavily edited synth groove that gives the track an almost stupid character.

That slightly dumb simplicity is a big part of what NOTPUMBAA likes about this kind of music. Not every element needs to be clever or overly detailed. Sometimes a simple idea that works on the dancefloor is enough.

The 24-year-old DJ and producer from Braunschweig has been producing music since his early teens, moving through Big Room, Hard Trap and Rap before ending up with the fast, dry and straightforward club sound he makes today.

Yo brandnew face from Braunschweig, Germany. 24-year-old DJ and producer @notpumbaa_ delivers an uncompromising production with a distinct identity. His sound is energetic, minimal and intentionally dry. A style he called „Stornobounce.“ His sets are defined by structure and tension, carefully crafted to build momentum and hit with maximum impact on the dancefloor.
Music has been a central part of his life from an early age. Growing up, he was the only one in his family who was truly obsessed with music. At the age of eight he started playing electric guitar and not long after, while still in third grade, he discovered GarageBand on his father’s new iMac. This moment sparked his fascination with producing and experimenting with sound.
He started producing music seriously at the age of 12, originally focusing on Big Room House before moving into Trap and Rap. During that phase, he mainly worked as an engineer while also releasing his own tracks. This background shaped his technical precision and genre awareness, which now translate into a direct, no-frills Hard Bounce sound.

Whether in the club or on stage, his performances stand for control, pressure and energy - focused, raw and effective
