finally done with my short animation for uni yippieee!!!
.
We had to choose a theme, and i chose unperfect bcs i think it fits Rin so much😔 I wanted to show a bit of Rin’s struggles about his different eye color, since everybody on his kingdom hates him for it (LORE), but also the important role Aslan played in him feeling a little bit more confident in his appearance. In general, Aslan helps Rin realize that he doesn’t have to be perfect or feel insecure about his eyes, and coming from Aslan, a guy with a scar over his eye, helps Rin realize that maybe he is right, maybe he can just live his life without caring so much about the kingdom and its people.
.
Now, lets move on to the art itself LMAO. I struggled a lot while animating this because my knowledge on frame by frame is very limited, and also i haven’t used a camera while animating before so that was also a challenge to figure out, BUT i had tons of fun experimenting with everything and actually seeing the end result come to life is such a nice feeling (dont get me wrong, if i could i would have made everything smoother but OH WELL). I tried really hard to not hyperfixate on every lil thing bcs i wanted it to be fitting with the theme, a not so perfect animation for my imperfect lil guy Rin hehe🥹🫶
ALSO i was rewatching alien stage while drawing this, thats why i chose Till’s heartbeat as the song UGHH it was the perfect choice for Rin tbh 😼
.
Yap over, i hope you guys like it plss tell me your thoughts on it:D
