There’s more to the name “Tobi”, as many of you know me by… My full name is OLUWATOBILOBA, which translates to “God is the greatest king”. I’ve carried that name for the past 23 years, and I would be lying if I said I haven’t felt the weight of it. All I was, all I am, all I’ll ever be, is because God, for his namesake, has never sat idly.

Of course, there’s the people he sent to me. My mother who bore me, the woman who I share my life’s blood, and truly my light at the end of the tunnel; my family who supported me; my friends who kept me grounded; and the strangers who made life so interesting.

Blah blah blah, not really fucking with the sappy shit. Shoutout my girls Jahael, Imani, Stacey, Lauryn. Shoutout Kunle baby. Shoutout Mark Liffiton. Shoutout my TOL kids. Shoutout Dodds. Shoutout Patrick Zajac. Shoutout the people who thought I was the shit. Shoutout Andrew Shallue. Shoutout SAGA staff. Shoutout Fat Jacks, Killarney, Elroy’s. Shoutout everyone I forgot to include. Shoutout IWU, I hope you all remember me. by @notwhotobithinks
