I.. Pt.6 Feel tired, pushed, struggling, staggered, exhausted. Like everything has hit, become hit, or waiting to hit. Feel like balance is inbound, and things will shift. The pendulum swings, it doesn’t stop. Like Philip Guston’s, “Gladiators” Feel a comeback, on my feet still, like round 3 of a tied game. Feel hope, it’s here by @novaj.torres

Artist statement used for gallery: “ I find myself looking for furniture on the side of the street or as I pass a store in my free time and in time for doing something. It’s become so easy to see something and then be like, “That would be cool if I placed it here,” that I do it all the time. I feel like I’m not the only one that’s doing this because so many other people that I’ve talked to are also looking for furniture. It’s a part of the growing mundane in my mind. I wanted to take my sound system and put it into the living room without interrupting the space in any drastic way. Feeling like I needed to decorate them perfectly with the perfect placement for the living room, I was lost. I then decided to instead transform these speakers into a working piece of furniture that effectively co-existed within the space.
Behind you are two home stereo speakers placed on their sides, with the speakers facing opposite each other. On top of these speakers are a scrapped table top. I simply attached these two and had myself a functioning coffee table and also a kickass sound system in my living room. This representation serves as a prototype for a future idea, but its functionality is useful enough to keep around for now. Please feel free to add a carving or tag to the wood! “ Thank you, -Nova by @novaj.torres
