Today we’re announcing a new long play album from Dexter+Franz, in collaboration with Tunnel Records: “Panoramic Highway”

Preorder the LP now at nudierecords.com, tunnelrecordssf.com, or via Bandcamp

An eclectic mix of ambient, kosmische, bossa nova, and library music that plays like a soundtrack to a lost nature documentary.

Recorded primarily at the Panoramic House in Marin County during the fall of 2023, the instrumental duo channel the coastal environment with flowing synth arpeggios, bubbling drum machines, evolving harmonies and hypnotic guitar riffs. Weaving effortlessly through Panoramic Highway are sampled and synthesized sounds of tide pools, beaches and the open ocean - a constant reminder of the marine ecosystems that surround us.

🌅 The first single, “Due West”, is available and streaming today.

An intimate performance hosted by @nerinefloral and @electricpianoco celebrating the Autumn Equinox

Featuring Stone Hedge
September 20th, 6:30pm
Limited space, RSVP required! Link in bio.

Poster design @jacquelinecantu

Stone Hedge is the monolithic collaboration between Chicago musicians Maria Jacobson (Fran) and Michael Franz Novak (Dark Canyon). Entwining intricate guitar work with haunting vocals like creeping ivy over heavy stone, the duo bridges the expanse between British acid folk and dusty American trail songs to create a sound that feels both ancient and newly unearthed.

Radio Outernational & Dark Canyon

Chicago’s Radio Outernational blends Ethio-funk, psychedelia, and jazz grooves into a heady mix. Founded by the Eternals rhythm section of Wayne Montana, Areif Sless-Kitain and Aaron Shapiro, the quintet features a front line of flutes and saxophone from Hunter Diamond and Kenthaney Redmond. The band’s debut album is coming in early 2027 from Shuga Records.
