The Mzamba Petrified Forest, estimated to be over 120 million years old, preserves the remains of ancient trees that were buried beneath layers of sand and mineral-rich sediments before transforming into stone over millions of years. Today, these fossilised remains are revealed along the coastline, offering a rare glimpse into a prehistoric world.
