📍Zuleta, Ecuador.

Co-hosted with Alex Petkas and Ben Wilson, creators of The Cost of Glory (@plutarchpodcast) and How to Take Over the World (@httotw), we brought together 25+ thought leaders, writers, and founders to explore the theme: “How Empires Are Built.”

Our second edition carried deep historical and cultural weight, hosted at @hotelhaciendazuletaecuador: a historic colonial-era estate and former home of Ecuadorian President Galo Plaza Lasso, now operating as a luxury hotel.

Over four days, we blended hot air balloon flights over the Andes, guided visits to Incan ruins, horseback riding through historic landscapes, immersive cultural experiences supported by local Ecuadorian brands, and daily fireside conversations — culminating with our flagship visit to Ecuador’s Presidential Palace, followed by an intimate closing celebration.

NOWHERE SUMMIT 2023
📍Quito, Ecuador.

We brought together 45 founders, investors, YC alumni, Thiel Fellows, and creators from diverse backgrounds at @lapalma.ec for an intimate, founder-led experience centered on entrepreneurship and connection.

Over four days, we cooked Ecuadorian dishes live on national television, salsa danced, immersed ourselves in the “Andean Experience” alongside local artists and brands, joined a panel and networking gathering with 200+ entrepreneurs, investors, and government officials — and even shared tea inside the Presidential Palace.

Words can’t fully capture what this beginning felt like, but luckily the amazing team at @17.21agencia did.

We’re exceptional people going places. 🌎

This was Ecuador’s Presidential palace. 🇪🇨

We were part of an exclusive tour of Carondelet that ended with a coffee break in the main room. It was inspiring to walk through the same spaces where thousands of political figures have made history.

We finished our visit by walking through Quito’s downtown streets and enjoying our last lunch together.

WE’RE GOING PLACES! 🌎

Take a look at the view we had from our Presidential Palace visit. We enjoyed a jaw-dropping look at Quito’s colonial downtown city, before heading back to normal life.

This was the only way we could end a four-day experience alongside a group of so many exceptional people: with an exceptional view.

These are the faces who joined exceptional people in the middle of the Andes, in an experience like never before.

The premise for our summit was: ‘How are Empires Built?’, so over the span of our four-day event, we curated experiences that led us to a clear answer.
