Our lil family summer getaway. Boys did great on this hike. Less carrying and more walking. Boys were much better being separated. Thank goodness for that 3rd row, can’t say the same for our lil princess. Planning the next summer outting before school starts.

Side note: one step closer to new wheels and tires.

I still believe what Kaiser could be and what it was 18 years ago when I first started working here as an EXTERN.

This is why we’re still here and this is why we’re still fighting.

Y’all been seeing my stories and I have received multiple DMs on whats going on. Here are the key reasons why we’re striking:

Unfair Labor Practices (ULP): The union alleges that Kaiser has engaged in unlawful bargaining tactics, including failing to negotiate in good faith, and attempting to bypass the national bargaining process.

Safe Staffing Crisis: Workers are protesting chronic understaffing that threatens patient care, drives burnout, and creates unsafe working conditions.

Contract Negotiations: Negotiations, which began in May 2025, have stalled over issues like fair wages, and pension security.

Kaiser Permanente (KFHP/H and Risant Health) reported a net income of $12.9 billion for 2024, a significant increase from $4.1 billion in 2023, largely driven by $6.8 billion in one-time gains from Risant Health acquisitions. Operating revenue rose to $115.8 billion, with a $569 million operating income.

Just staff us well, so we don’t get burnt out. I’m tired of having to manage patient care by opening multiple teams while at the same time having to manage and run the flow of the unit simultaneously. ENOUGH is ENOUGH. Praying we all come to an agreement so we can all get back to work to care for our patients.

I retired from trailing/off-roading in 2025 but I defintiely owed the homie Duce @hayop.4r this run. This was for you brotha. Thank you to everyone that came out and celebrated what Duce enjoyed doing.
