Exactly a year ago I lost my mentor Harry Mastrogeorge. I remember exactly where I was when I got the news, doing a relief shift at a veterinary hospital. I was crying in the clinic and my staff was concerned (and a little too ready to throw down 👊🏼 😅) because they thought a client had hurt my feelings. The owner of the hospital asked if I wanted to leave early, but I said no. And in classic vet med fashion, I got myself together & went into the next room to do exams as if nothing was wrong, but a lot was wrong. It’s absolutely insane having somebody you care about one minute and then all of a sudden they’re not there. I used to drive with him so often sometimes I look at my passenger seat & think of him. He taught me about being self reliant, independent, and he always knew more about you then you realized about yourself. He taught me about minding my own business 💅 and how to last in this crazy industry. Even into his 90s, when it came to helping us play pretend & make believe, his mind never skipped a beat. He was always on point. And you could call him at any time. I miss Harry everyday, and when he passed I really couldn’t bring myself to talk about it in a post. Hopefully a year later is okay 💖 by @npcomedy

So proud & excited to share that my first-ever short film “the Session” has officially been accepted into Dallas International Film Festival Shorts!!! This cast was made up of people that inspire me to become a better performer. Thank you so so so much to @lesley.tsina @ccackowski and @jlpdanforth for being part of this project with me & @ryanwmoulton @carliplute @gabrieldhays and @jontheidiot for helping me bring this project to life. P.S. Without Justin’s performance, “The Session” would have never happened. I am so grateful to have such talented friends 🙂‍↔️ by @npcomedy
