Are our decisions even our decisions or are we all chained to society’s expectations of who we should be? Has money, relationships, drugs and alcohol succeeded at stealing our autonomy. Are we all walking around chained to every one but our own definition of success and freedom? As I walk out of my 20’s I am releasing myself from who the world wants me to be and walking into who I am called to be unapologetically . This is the last time you will see me chained, because I AM FREE!

As I say goodbye to my 20’s I can’t promise myself that nights will never be dark, lonely, or unbearable again but I can promise myself that I will never be consumed by that darkness again and that is more than enough!

Never let the world tell you that there is only one box you must fit in! Don’t let the world steal your smile or make you shy away from your ambitions! You can be everything all at once black girl! You can be smart and goofy, creative and detail oriented, a homebody and outgoing. 365 days means 365 opportunities to embrace the version of you, you want to show up as. May I always be bold in chasing my dreams, able to shift from things that don’t serve me and forever walk in love, joy and light! I AM FOREVER EVOLVING & EMBRACING BEING A BLACK WOMAN 🤎
